Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- General / Unreserved: Master’s Degree or equivalent with at least 55% aggregate marks from a recognized university.
- SC / ST / OBC (NCL) / PwD / Third Gender: Master’s Degree with at least 50% aggregate marks.
- Candidates pursuing their Master’s degree or awaiting final year results are also eligible to apply provisionally.
Age Limit & Relaxations:
- Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): Maximum 30 years. (Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/Women applicants).
- Assistant Professorship / PhD Admission: No upper age limit.
UGC NET Exam Pattern & Structure
The exam comprises two papers conducted in a single uninterrupted 3-hour session (180 minutes).
