AP EDCET Counselling Notification 2026

The AP EDCET 2026 counselling notification is released through the APSCHE counselling portal. Only candidates who secured the qualifying marks in AP EDCET 2026 will be eligible to participate in the counselling process.

Unlike many admission processes, participating in AP EDCET counselling is not automatic after the exam result. Every eligible candidate must:

  • Complete online registration
  • Pay the counselling processing fee
  • Upload certificates
  • Complete online verification
  • Exercise web options
  • Download seat allotment order
  • Report to the allotted college within the prescribed dates

Failure to complete any one stage may lead to cancellation of candidature for that counselling phase.

Important: APSCHE generally conducts multiple counselling phases depending on seat availability. Candidates who are not allotted seats in Phase-1 or wish to upgrade their college can participate in subsequent phases if notified.

APCFSS CAP: New AP Admission Portal For all AP CET Admission

  • APCFSS CAP Portal (cap.apcfss.in) is the new centralized online admission portal launched by the Andhra Pradesh Government for admissions into professional courses through various AP Common Entrance Tests (AP CETs). It provides a single platform for registration, certificate verification, web options, seat allotment, and reporting.
  • The CAP Portal is used for counselling of multiple AP CETs, including AP EAPCET, AP ECET, AP ICET, AP PGECET, AP LAWCET, AP EdCET, AP POLYCET, and other APSCHE admission processes. Separate counselling notifications are activated on the same portal as per the schedule.
  • AP Edcet 2026 Phase-1 Counselling is being conducted through the APCFSS CAP Portal. Eligible candidates can complete the entire admission process online using this portal.
  • The portal supports online certificate upload and verification, reducing the need for most candidates to visit Help Line Centres. Candidates must upload all required documents within the specified schedule.
  • After certificate verification, candidates can exercise Web Options by selecting their preferred colleges and courses in order of priority. An Option Editing facility is also available to modify preferences before seat allotment.
  • Seat allotment is prepared based on the candidate’s AP EAPCET rank, reservation category, local/non-local status, availability of seats, and the order of web options entered during counselling.
  • Candidates allotted a seat must complete both Self-Reporting through the CAP Portal and Physical Reporting at the allotted college within the prescribed dates. Failure to complete either step may lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.
  • The AP ECET 2026 counselling is also being conducted through the APCFSS CAP Portal, making it the common online platform for APSCHE counselling processes.
  • Candidates should regularly visit the official APCFSS CAP Portal and APSCHE website for the latest notifications, counselling schedules, seat allotment results, and any updates or revised instructions issued by the authorities.

How AP EDCET Seat Allotment Works (Important Information Many Students Miss)

Many candidates think only rank decides the allotment.

Actually, APSCHE considers several factors simultaneously:

  • Candidate Rank
  • Reservation Rules
  • Local Area Reservation
  • College Preference Order
  • Seat Availability
  • Special Category Reservations
  • Previous Phase Vacancies

Therefore, even candidates with slightly lower ranks can secure better colleges if they fill their web options strategically.

Common Mistakes Students Should Avoid

  • Waiting until the last day to register.
  • Uploading unclear documents.
  • Forgetting to lock web options.
  • Choosing very few colleges.
  • Ignoring local area eligibility.
  • Not checking certificate verification status.
  • Missing college reporting deadline.

These mistakes frequently cause candidates to lose admission despite obtaining good ranks.

What Happens After Seat Allotment?

After downloading the allotment order:

  1. Complete online self-reporting (if applicable).
  2. Pay the required admission fee at the allotted institution.
  3. Visit the college with original certificates.
  4. Complete admission verification.
  5. Attend orientation and begin classes.

Candidates who fail to report within the stipulated period may lose their allotted seat.

Who Should Participate in Phase 2 Counselling

Candidates can participate in the next counselling phase if they:

  • Did not get a seat in Phase 1.
  • Were absent during Phase 1.
  • Want a better college.
  • Want to change their allotted institution (subject to APSCHE rules).

AP EDCET 2026 Counselling Tips for Better College Allotment

  • Keep scanned certificates ready before registration begins.
  • Fill the maximum number of realistic college options.
  • Verify your reservation certificates are valid and up to date.
  • Regularly check the official portal for updates.
  • Download every acknowledgement receipt for future reference.
  • Report to the college before the deadline without waiting until the last day.

Why This Counselling Is Important

AP EDCET counselling determines admission into B.Ed. programmes offered by government, aided, university, and private colleges across Andhra Pradesh.
