IMPORTANT UPDATE – The TG PGECET 2026 Web Options Entry process is now LIVE on the official counselling portal, and candidates seeking admission into M.E., M.Tech, and M.Arch programs in Telangana can start filling their college and course preferences online. Candidates who have already completed registration, certificate verification, and fee payment are now eligible to participate in the web options / choice filling process, which is one of the most important stages of counselling. Through the web options entry portal, candidates can add, rearrange, save, and lock their preferred colleges and branches before the deadline. The seat allotment will be prepared based on the TG PGECET rank, reservation category, local area status, seat availability, and the order of options entered by the candidate. Candidates are advised to carefully arrange their options in the order of preference and complete the web entry process well before the last date to avoid last-minute technical issues.

What You Need to Do Right Now:
- Visit the official TG PGECET counselling portal
- Complete your online registration if you haven’t already
- Upload all required certificates for verification – category, qualifying degree, rank card, and ID proof
- Double-check every document meets the official format before uploading – mismatched or invalid certificates are the most common reason candidates get stuck later in the process
Why This Matters:
Missing counselling registration doesn’t just delay you — it can knock you out of the seat allotment process entirely for this cycle. If you’ve been putting this off, this extension is your safety net. Use it.

This complete, official college-wise and course-wise code list is published as a downloadable PDF on pgecetadm.tgche.ac.in at the start of the web options window (13 July 2026 onward) and is also displayed directly inside the web options screen as a searchable dropdown – so you don’t need to memorise codes; you can search by college name or branch name directly while filling options. Always cross-check the code shown on your screen with the official list before finalising an option.

- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Pharmacy discipline from a recognised university.
- Must satisfy local/non-local status requirements as per the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order, 1974, as amended, and applicable Telangana Government Orders.
- 85% of convener-quota seats in each course are reserved for local candidates of the Osmania University (O.U.) Area; the remaining 15% are unreserved (open) seats.
- Reservation benefits (SC/ST/BC/EWS/PH) apply as per Telangana Government norms within both local and unreserved shares.
- Candidates claiming EWS reservation (applicable only to OC candidates) must produce a valid EWS certificate issued by the MRO/Tahsildar for the relevant year.
- All original certificates must be produced at the time of verification/reporting.
Step 1: Online Registration – Detailed Process
- Visit the official counselling portal: pgecetadm.tgche.ac.in
- Click on the link for “M.E./M.Tech./M.Arch. courses” (or the M.Pharmacy/Pharm.D link, as applicable).
- Click on New Candidate Registration.
- Enter your TG PGECET 2026 hall ticket number and rank (or GATE/GPAT registration number and score, if applicable), along with your date of birth for authentication.
- On successful login, fill in your personal details (name, parent’s name, date of birth, gender), communication details (mobile number, email ID, address), and academic details (qualifying degree, university, percentage/CGPA).
- Select your category (OC/BC/SC/ST/EWS) and special category, if applicable (NCC/CAP/PH/Sports).
- Select your local/non-local status as per the region where you studied.
- Review all entered details carefully before proceeding to the fee payment step – most detail errors cannot be corrected after payment.
Step 2: Processing Fee Payment – Detailed Steps
| Category | Processing Fee |
|---|---|
| General/OC/BC Candidates | Rs. 1,200/- |
| SC/ST Candidates | Rs. 600/- |
How to pay the fee:
- After completing the registration form, you will be redirected to the payment gateway page.
- Choose your preferred payment mode – Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking (as specified by the official portal; UPI availability may vary – confirm the exact modes shown on your payment screen).
- Enter your payment details and authorise the transaction (OTP verification via your registered mobile number/bank).
- On successful payment, a transaction ID and payment receipt will be generated – download and save this immediately; it also gets emailed to your registered email ID.
- If the amount is debited but the transaction shows as failed or the receipt is not generated, do not make a second payment immediately. Wait for a few hours and check your registration status by logging in again; contact the helpline number given on the portal if the amount was deducted but registration is not confirmed.
- The fee is non-refundable under any circumstances, including if you do not participate in further counselling steps.
- The fee payment is phase-specific – if you participate in a later phase (Phase 2 or the M.Pharmacy/Pharm.D phase separately), you must pay the fee again; it does not carry forward.
- The payment must be made in favour of “Secretary, TGCHE”.
- Once payment is successful, the system will prompt you to proceed to the document upload step — do not close the browser window before this step is confirmed.
Step 3: Certificate Verification – Detailed Process
Certificate verification for TG PGECET 2026 happens in two parts: online upload verification (for all candidates) and physical verification (only for special category candidates).
A. Online Upload Verification (All Candidates)
- After fee payment, log in to your candidate dashboard.
- Upload clear, legible scanned copies (in the specified format and file size – typically JPG/PDF, under the size limit mentioned on the portal) of all required documents (full list below).
- Ensure each document is uploaded under the correct category tab (e.g., rank card under “Rank Card,” caste certificate under “Category Certificate”).
- Cross-check that the name, date of birth, and other details on each uploaded document exactly match your registration details – mismatches are among the most common reasons for rejection.
- Submit the uploaded documents for verification. A TGCHE verification team checks these online submissions against your registration data.
- Track your verification status on your dashboard; if any document is rejected or flagged, you will typically be notified via email/SMS with reasons, and you may get a short correction window before the verified list is finalised.
B. Physical Verification (Special Category Candidates Only — NCC/CAP/PH/Sports)
- In addition to the online upload, candidates claiming NCC, CAP (Children of Armed Forces Personnel), PH (Physically Handicapped), or Sports & Games reservation must report in person for physical verification.
- Venue: Directorate of Admissions, Osmania University, Hyderabad – 500007
- Date-wise schedule:
- NCC candidates – 7 July 2026
- Sports & Games, CAP candidates – 8 July 2026
- PH (Physically Handicapped) candidates – 9 July 2026
- Carry all original certificates supporting your special category claim, along with self-attested photocopies, your TG PGECET hall ticket, rank card, and a valid photo ID.
- Officials will verify the originals against your uploaded scanned copies and issue a physical verification confirmation/certificate.
- Candidates who fail to report on their designated date, or whose special category certificates do not pass verification, will not be considered eligible for the special category quota – but will still be considered under the general merit/applicable category if otherwise eligible.
C. Verified List Display
- TGCHE publishes the list of verified, eligible registered candidates on the official website.
- If your name is missing or details are incorrectly reflected, you can raise a correction request via the email address specified on the portal (check the notification/portal for the exact helpdesk email, as this may be updated each cycle).
- Only candidates in this verified list are permitted to proceed to the web options stage.
Documents Required for TG PGECET Counselling 2026
Keep both scanned copies (for upload) and originals with self-attested photocopies (for verification/reporting) ready:
- TG PGECET 2026 Rank Card
- TG PGECET 2026 Hall Ticket
- GATE/GPAT Score Card and Hall Ticket (if applicable)
- SSC/10th Class Marks Memo and Certificate
- Intermediate/10+2 Marks Memo and Certificate
- Degree Provisional/Original Certificate
- Degree Consolidated Marks Memo (all semesters/years)
- Transfer Certificate (TC)
- Study Certificates from Class 10 to Graduation (or Residence Certificate for the last 7 years, if institutionalised study certificates are unavailable)
- Integrated Community Certificate (for BC/SC/ST candidates, issued on or after 02-06-2014)
- Income Certificate (for fee reimbursement, if applicable, issued on or after 01-01-2025)
- EWS Certificate issued by MRO/Tahsildar, valid for the year (applicable only to OC candidates claiming EWS reservation)
- PH/Sports/NCC/CAP Category Certificates (for special category candidates)
- Aadhaar Card
- Recent Passport-Size Photographs
- Fee Payment Receipt/Acknowledgement Slip
Step 4: Web Options Entry – Detailed Process
- Only candidates appearing in the verified eligible list (published 12 July 2026) can log in and access the web options screen.
- On the web options page, you will see a searchable list of participating colleges and courses (searchable by college name, district, university, or branch code).
- Select each college-course combination you are interested in, one at a time, and add it to your options list in the order you prefer — the order matters enormously, as it directly drives seat allotment logic.
- There is generally no upper limit (or a very high limit) on the number of options you can add — candidates are strongly advised to add as many realistic options as possible (ideally covering a wide rank range of colleges, not just top choices) to maximise the chance of allotment in this phase itself.
- Arrange your list strictly by genuine preference: college and branch you want most should be Option 1, and so on.
- Once you’ve added all desired options, use the reorder/rearrange feature on the dashboard to fine-tune the priority sequence before final submission.
- Click Save after adding options – this does not lock them yet.
- On or before 15 July 2026, click Freeze/Submit Options to lock in your list for Phase 1 processing. (Some candidates confuse “Save” with final submission – make sure you complete the submission action, not just the save action, or your options may not be considered for allotment.)
- Download/print the web options acknowledgement for your records.
Editing Window
- A one-time edit facility is provided on 16 July 2026, allowing you to add, remove, or reorder your previously submitted options.
- Once this edit window closes, the options are permanently locked, and no further changes — additions, deletions, or reordering — are possible for Phase 1.
Step 5: Seat Allotment Process – Phase 1
The Phase 1 provisional seat allotment list is prepared college-wise and published based on:
- TG PGECET Rank / GATE/GPAT Score (GATE/GPAT qualified candidates are ranked ahead of TG PGECET rank holders within each category)
- Category (OC/BC/SC/ST/EWS/PH)
- Local/Non-Local status (85% local, 15% unreserved as per O.U. Area norms)
- Availability of seats in each college/course
- The exact order in which you listed your web options
How to check your allotment: Log in to pgecetadm.tgche.ac.in using your hall ticket number and rank, and check the “Seat Allotment Status” section on your dashboard. Download your provisional allotment letter directly from here if a seat has been allotted.
Step 6: Reporting to Allotted College
- Download the provisional seat allotment order from pgecetadm.tgche.ac.in.
- Report in person to the allotted college within the stipulated window.
- Carry all original certificates along with two sets of self-attested photocopies.
- Submit original documents for verification at the college.
- Pay the applicable tuition fee/seat acceptance fee as directed by the institute.
- Complete self-reporting/admission confirmation formalities as instructed by the college.
Important: Failure to report within the prescribed deadline results in automatic cancellation of the allotted seat, which is then made available for allotment in the subsequent phase.
