TG EDCET 2026 Exam Schedule & Timings

The examination will be held in two distinct sessions to manage the influx of candidates across the state. Unlike some other entrance tests, Telangana EDCET does not have a single session but splits the candidates into Morning and Afternoon batches.

Hall Ticket Availability

According to the latest updates from the TG EDCET Convenor, Prof. B. Venkataram Reddy, the hall tickets (admit cards) will be available for download starting May 9, 2026, from 10:00 AM onwards

  1. Visit the official website: https://edcet.tgche.ac.in.
  2. Click on the link for “TG EDCET 2026 Hall Ticket”.
  3. Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth.
  4. Your admit card will appear on the screen.
  5. Download the PDF and take at least 2-3 color printouts

Important Note: Candidates must carry a printed copy of the hall ticket along with a valid photo ID proof (such as Aadhaar Card, Driving License, or College ID) to the exam center. Digital copies on phones are not permitted.

Exam Centers and Registration Status

Approximately 35,842 candidates have registered to appear for the TG EDCET 2026. The exam will be conducted smoothly across the state.

The exam centers are spread across all major districts. Hyderabad is divided into four regional zones to manage the crowd, while other key centers include Warangal, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Khammam, Mahabubnagar, and Nalgonda. 

What Happens After the Exam? (The Next Steps)

With the exam set for May 12, candidates should be prepared for the rapid result cycle that follows. Understanding the “Answer Key” process is vital for those who wish to estimate their scores.

1. Preliminary Key (May 15, 2026)

The authorities will release a preliminary answer key. Candidates can challenge this key if they find discrepancies.

  • Objection Fee: Rs. 500 per question.
  • Refund: If the objection is valid and the answer is changed, the fee is refunded. 

2. Final Results (May 30, 2026)

After reviewing the objections, the final answer key and results will be declared. A rank card (Merit List) will be issued.

3. Counseling

Qualified candidates will need to participate in web-based counseling for seat allocation in various B.Ed colleges across Telangana.

Important Reminders for Exam Day

  • Don’t Forget: Hall Ticket + Photo ID (Original + Photocopy).
  • Arrive Early: Plan to reach the center at least one hour before the reporting time mentioned on your admit card. Latecomers are not allowed. 
  • Prohibited Items: Electronic devices (mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators), wallets, and study material are strictly banned inside the exam hall.
