The National Medical Commission (NMC) has officially released the NEET UG 2026 MBBS Seat Matrix for MBBS admissions. This is one of the most important updates for lakhs of NEET aspirants preparing for the counselling process. According to the latest NMC data, 823 medical colleges across India will participate in NEET UG 2026 admissions, offering a total of 1,36,939 MBBS seats under Government and Private medical colleges. This figure excludes standalone Institutes of National Importance (INIs) such as AIIMS and JIPMER.

Besides MBBS admissions, NEET UG 2026 scores will also be accepted for BDS and AYUSH admissions across hundreds of institutions.
