Eligibility Criteria for AP LAWCET Counselling 2026

Candidates must satisfy the following eligibility requirements:

General & OBC Candidates

  • Minimum Qualifying Marks: 35% (42 out of 120 Marks)

SC/ST Candidates

  • No minimum qualifying marks prescribed

Educational Qualification

For 3-Year LLB

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University

For 5-Year LLB

  • Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent

For LLM

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB)

AP LAWCET Counselling 2026 Registration Process

Candidates who have qualified in AP LAWCET 2026 must complete the online counselling registration process to participate in the admission process for 3-Year LLB, 5-Year Integrated LLB, and LLM programmes. For the 2026 admission cycle, APSCHE is expected to conduct the counselling process through the newly introduced AP CAP (Andhra Pradesh Centralized Admission Portal). The detailed counselling notification and registration schedule will be released separately by APSCHE.

Step 1: Visit the AP CAP Portal

Open the official AP CAP/APSCHE counselling portal once the AP LAWCET counselling notification is released. Read the instructions carefully before starting the registration process.

Step 2: Candidate Registration

Click on “New Candidate Registration” and enter the required details, such as:

  • AP LAWCET 2026 Hall Ticket Number
  • AP LAWCET Rank
  • Date of Birth
  • Aadhaar Number (if applicable)

  • Email ID

An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number and email address. Verify both to activate your counselling account.

Step 9: Modify and Lock Web Options

Before the web options deadline, candidates can edit, rearrange, add, or remove their college preferences. After final submission, lock the web options. No further changes will be be allowed after the modification window closes.

Step 10: Seat Allotment

APSCHE will prepare the seat allotment based on:

  • AP LAWCET Rank
  • Reservation Category
  • Local/Non-Local Status
  • College and Course Preferences
  • Availability of Seats

Candidates can log in to the counselling portal and download the Seat Allotment Order once the results are announced.

Step 11: Self-Reporting

Candidates who receive a seat must complete online self-reporting through the counselling portal within the prescribed schedule to confirm their willingness to join the allotted college.

Step 12: Reporting to the Allotted College

Finally, candidates must report to the allotted college with all original certificates, the seat allotment order, and other required documents within the specified reporting period. Failure to report within the deadline may result in cancellation of the allotted seat.
