The All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, is conducting centralised online counselling for admission to B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing and B.Sc. Allied & Health Care courses across participating AIIMS institutes for the August 2026 session. This counselling is held under a single joint schedule and brochure, covering both nursing and allied health streams, as notified on the AIIMS Examination Portal under Advertisement No. BSC/2026 for B.Sc. Courses at AIIMS.

AIIMS Paramedical/Allied Health Entrance Exam 2026: Key Prior Milestones

Before counselling could begin, candidates had to clear the AIIMS Paramedical Entrance Exam. As per the admission cycle, basic registration began on March 29, 2026, the application deadline was May 10, 2026, and admit cards were released on June 27, 2026. The entrance exam was held on July 4, 2026, in computer-based test (CBT) mode, and the result was declared on July 10, 2026. Only candidates who cleared this exam and whose names appear in the declared result are eligible to participate in counselling.

The entrance exam itself consisted of 90 questions to be answered in 90 minutes, covering Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics depending on the course applied for.

Counselling Process – How It Works

AIIMS Delhi coordinates central counselling for all participating institutes, conducted entirely online in the following stages:

  1. Login to the counselling portal using registered credentials.
  2. Choice filling: Candidates add, reorder, or delete their preferred AIIMS institutes and courses until the locking deadline.
  3. Locking of choices: A one-time exercise before Round 1 seat allocation – choices cannot be refilled for later rounds unless specified.
  4. Seat allotment result: Released with roll number, rank, category, and allotted institute/course.
  5. Online response – mandatory: Allotted candidates must choose either:
    • Option 1: Freeze the seat and proceed to reporting, or
    • Option 2: Float/upgrade the seat in subsequent rounds.
Failing to exercise either option, or failing to report, leads to forfeiture of the seat and disqualification from further rounds.
  6. Document verification and reporting at the allotted AIIMS campus with original certificates plus two sets of self-attested photocopies.
  7. Rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 (regular rounds), followed by a Spot Round if seats remain vacant after Round 3.

AIIMS BSc Allied & Healthcare Counselling 2026: Schedule

Because AIIMS issued a joint brochure and schedule for B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing and B.Sc. Allied & Health Care courses for the August 2026 session, the allied counselling timeline closely mirrors the nursing counselling dates:

FAQs

Q1. Is a separate exam required for B.Sc. Allied & Health Care courses at AIIMS, or is NEET UG accepted?
No. Admission to B.Sc. Allied & Health Care courses at AIIMS is through the AIIMS Paramedical Entrance Exam, not NEET UG. (Note: some newer AIIMS campuses, such as AIIMS Mangalagiri, have introduced NEET UG-based admission for their allied courses — check the specific campus notice.)

Q2. Can a candidate with Mathematics in Class 12 apply for AIIMS Allied courses?
Yes, but only for Bachelor of Optometry, MRIT (Medical Radiology & Imaging Technology), and Medical Technology in Radiotherapy. For all other allied courses like MLT, OTT, and DORA, Biology is compulsory.

Q3. How many counselling rounds does AIIMS conduct for allied courses?
Three regular rounds (Round 1, Round 2, Round 3), followed by a Spot Round if seats remain vacant after Round 3.

Q4. What happens if an allotted candidate does not respond after Round 1 seat allotment?
The seat is forfeited, and the candidate becomes ineligible for subsequent counselling rounds.

Q5. Where can candidates check the official seat matrix for AIIMS Allied courses 2026?
In the information brochure published on the AIIMS Examination Portal (aiimsexams.ac.in) under the B.Sc. Courses 2026 advertisement.

AIIMS B.Sc. Allied & Health Care Courses Counselling 2026 is currently progressing through the 1st Round of online seat allocation, with the Round 1 seat allocation scheduled for August 12, 2026.
