Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official notification for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), inviting eligible candidates to apply for the upcoming examination. CTET is a national-level eligibility test conducted to determine the eligibility of aspiring teachers for Primary (Classes I–V) and Upper Primary (Classes VI–VIII) levels in schools across India, including government, aided, and private institutions.
As per the notification, the CTET application process must be completed online through the official website. Candidates are required to fill in the application form, upload necessary documents, and pay the prescribed examination fee within the given dates. The exam will consist of Paper I for primary teachers and Paper II for upper primary teachers. Candidates aspiring to teach Classes I–VIII must appear for both papers.

Eligibility Criteria
As prescribed by NCTE guidelines (minimum educational qualifications for teaching positions).
- Separate eligibility criteria apply for Paper I (Classes I–V) and Paper II (Classes VI–VIII).
- Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC/Divyang) receive 5% relaxation.
- Candidates must verify eligibility themselves; CBSE does not confirm eligibility during application.
