KNRUHS MBBS BDS Admissions 2026: Previous Updates
KNRUHS initially issued the notification for MBBS/BDS admissions under Competent Authority Quota for AY 2026-27 in August 2026. The University subsequently conducted the admission-related verification process and later issued a notification reopening registration.
The University had also issued notifications for physical verification of certificates of candidates registered under the CAP quota and physical assessment of candidates who applied under the PwD category as part of the admission process.

Telangana MBBS Fees 2026-29: No Fee Hike for Private Medical Colleges
Big Update for Telangana NEET UG 2026 aspirants: There will be no increase in MBBS tuition fees for the 2026-29 block period in private medical colleges in Telangana. The fee structure applicable during the previous 2023-26 block period will continue for 2026-29, providing clarity to students and parents participating in the current Telangana NEET UG counselling.
The fee structure applies to eligible private unaided minority and non-minority medical and dental colleges in Telangana, as per the applicable government and KNRUHS orders.
Telangana MBBS Fee Structure 2026-29
Category-A / Convenor Quota: The tuition fee for Category-A seats in private medical colleges remains ₹60,000 per year.
Category-B / Management Quota: The annual tuition fee for Category-B MBBS seats ranges from approximately ₹11.55 lakh to ₹13 lakh, depending on the college.
Deccan College of Medical Sciences: The applicable Category-B fee for Deccan College of Medical Sciences is higher, with the fee fixed at ₹13.90 lakh per year under the relevant orders.
Category-C / NRI Quota: For NRI-category seats, the fee can be charged up to twice the applicable Category-B fee of the respective college.
For example, if the Category-B fee of a college is ₹11.55 lakh per year, the maximum Category-C/NRI fee can be ₹23.10 lakh per year, subject to the applicable regulations.
MBBS Fee Collection Over 4.5 Years
The MBBS academic course consists of 4.5 years of study followed by a one-year internship. In connection with the fee-collection issue, KNRUHS has clarified the applicable method of collecting tuition fees.
The total tuition fee applicable for the 4.5-year academic period is divided into five equal annual instalments. Therefore, students should not interpret the five instalments as payment for five full academic years of MBBS tuition.
For example, where the applicable Category-B fee is ₹11.55 lakh per year, the total tuition fee for 4.5 years works out to ₹51,97,500, which is collected in five equal instalments of ₹10,39,500 each.
What About Newly Recognised Medical Colleges?
Newly recognised private medical colleges will not have complete freedom to fix arbitrary tuition fees. Their applicable fee will be determined within the prescribed fee structure and corresponding fee brackets under the relevant government orders.
Students and parents should therefore verify the official fee applicable to the particular college and seat category before making any payment.

Candidates must have qualified NEET UG 2026 with the prescribed category-wise qualifying percentile.
