The JEE Main 2026 April 6 examination has been successfully conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in two shifts. Based on the initial feedback shared by students, the overall difficulty level of Shift 2 was moderate, while Shift 1 was considered moderate to tough and lengthy.
According to students who appeared for the exam, Mathematics remained the most time-consuming section in both shifts. Many candidates reported that the questions involved lengthy calculations, making time management a major challenge during the paper. In contrast, Physics was rated easy to moderate, with several formula-based and straightforward questions. Chemistry was moderate, though a few questions were described as tricky.
The Shift 2 exam, held after the morning session, received a moderate overall rating from students. While Physics and Chemistry were manageable, the lengthy Maths section increased the paper’s difficulty level.
Meanwhile, the April 6 Shift 1 exam, conducted from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, has emerged as the toughest shift so far in the ongoing JEE Main 2026 session. Students found this paper to be comparatively more challenging, especially due to the difficult and lengthy Mathematics section.
Candidates looking for a detailed subject-wise analysis, memory-based question papers, unofficial answer keys, and question paper solutions for both April 6 Shift 1 and Shift 2 can check the complete updates available online.
As more student reactions and expert reviews come in, the JEE Main 2026 April 6 exam analysis will help aspirants estimate the difficulty level, expected cut-off trends, and overall performance in comparison with other shifts.
