Selection Process for TG Veterinary 2026

Admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. and B.F.Sc. programmes under the TG Veterinary Notification 2026 is carried out by P.V. Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University (PVNRTVU) through a merit-based counselling process. The university does not conduct a separate entrance examination for these courses. Instead, admissions are granted based on the TG EAPCET 2026 (Bi.P.C.) rank, subject to eligibility conditions, reservation policies, and seat availability.

1. TG EAPCET 2026 Rank

The TG EAPCET 2026 rank is the most important criterion for admission. Candidates who have qualified in the Bi.P.C. stream of TG EAPCET are considered for the admission process.

  • Higher-ranked candidates are given priority during counselling.
  • The university prepares a merit list based on the TG EAPCET ranks submitted by eligible applicants.
  • Admission into the preferred course and college depends largely on the candidate’s EAPCET rank and the availability of seats. (

2. Reservation Rules

After preparing the merit list, admissions are processed according to the reservation policy of the Government of Telangana.

Reservation benefits are applicable for eligible candidates belonging to categories such as:

  • SC (Scheduled Caste)
  • ST (Scheduled Tribe)

  • EWS (Economically Weaker Section)
  • PwD (Persons with Disabilities)
  • NCC, CAP, Sports and other special categories, wherever applicable as per the admission guidelines.

Candidates claiming reservation must upload and produce valid supporting certificates during the verification process. If the required certificates are not produced, the reservation claim may be rejected.

During verification, officials will check the authenticity of documents such as:

  • TG EAPCET 2026 Rank Card
  • TG EAPCET Hall Ticket
  • SSC Marks Memo
  • Intermediate Marks Memo
  • Transfer Certificate (TC)
  • Study Certificates
  • Community/Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Income Certificate
  • EWS Certificate
  • PwD Certificate
  • Aadhaar Card and other prescribed documents.

Only candidates whose original certificates are successfully verified will be eligible for seat allotment. Any discrepancy or submission of incorrect information may lead to cancellation of candidature.

4. Merit Position

Following certificate verification, the university prepares the final merit list by considering:

  • TG EAPCET 2026 Rank
  • Eligibility criteria
  • Reservation category
  • Verification status of original documents

Candidates with a better merit position receive priority while allotting seats in their preferred course and college during counselling.

5. Availability of Seats

The final allotment of seats depends on the number of seats available in each course and college.

Seat allotment is made based on:

  • Candidate’s TG EAPCET rank
  • Merit position
  • Reservation category
  • College preference (where applicable)
  • Availability of vacant seats

If seats are filled in the first round, the university may conduct subsequent counselling rounds to fill any remaining vacancies, subject to availability. The complete selection process consists of the following stages:

1. Online Registration

The first step is to complete the online application through the official APFU admission portal. Candidates must fill in their personal, academic, and AP EAPCET details accurately and upload all the required documents within the specified application period. Only candidates who successfully complete the online registration will be considered for the admission process.

2. Certificate Verification

After the registration process, APFU verifies the certificates and documents submitted by the candidates. During verification, the university checks:

  • Educational qualifications
  • AP EAPCET Hall Ticket and Rank details
  • Date of Birth

  • Other supporting documents

If any information is found to be incorrect or required documents are missing, the candidature may be rejected. Therefore, candidates should ensure that all uploaded certificates are genuine and valid.

3. Preparation of Merit List

Candidates with better ranks receive higher priority during the seat allotment process.

TG Bachelor of Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc.) Admission Process 2026

Admission to the Bachelor of Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc.) programme in Telangana is conducted through the TG EAPCET (Agriculture & Medical Stream) 2026 counselling process. Candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria and participate in each stage of counselling to secure admission.

Step 1: Appear for TG EAPCET (Agriculture & Medical Stream) 2026

Candidates seeking admission to the B.F.Sc. programme must appear for the TG EAPCET Agriculture & Medical (AM) Stream Examination 2026 conducted by the Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE). The entrance examination evaluates candidates in Biology (Botany & Zoology), Physics, and Chemistry based on the Intermediate syllabus

Step 2: Obtain a Valid TG EAPCET Rank

After the declaration of the TG EAPCET results, candidates must secure a valid rank to become eligible for the counselling process. Admission to Fisheries colleges is purely merit-based and depends on the candidate’s rank, reservation category, local area status, and seat availability.

Step 3: Register for TG EAPCET Counselling

Eligible candidates must visit the official TG EAPCET counselling portal and complete the online registration by providing the required personal details, paying the counselling processing fee, and booking a slot for certificate verification (if applicable).

Step 4: Certificate Verification

Candidates must attend certificate verification with all original documents. During this stage, the authorities verify educational qualifications, caste certificate (if applicable), income certificate, residence certificate, Aadhaar card, TG EAPCET rank card, hall ticket, and other prescribed documents. Only candidates whose certificates are successfully verified can participate in web options entry.

Step 5: Exercise Web Options

After certificate verification, candidates must log in to the counselling portal and select their preferred Fisheries colleges in the order of preference. Candidates are advised to carefully arrange their choices, as seat allotment will be based on the order of web options, TG EAPCET rank, reservation policy, and seat availability.

Step 6: Seat Allotment

The counselling authority will release the seat allotment result online. Candidates can download the provisional allotment order by logging into the counselling portal. The allotment is prepared considering the candidate’s TG EAPCET rank, reservation category, local/non-local status, preferences filled during web options, and availability of seats.

Step 7: Report to the Allotted College

Candidates who receive a seat allotment must complete the online self-reporting process (if applicable) and report to the allotted Fisheries college within the prescribed schedule. They must carry the original certificates, allotment order, fee payment receipt, passport-size photographs, and other required documents. Admission will be confirmed only after successful document verification and payment of the prescribed tuition fee at the allotted college.

CAT Exam Overview 2026

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is India’s most prestigious national-level MBA entrance examination conducted annually by one of the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) on behalf of all IIMs. Apart from admissions to the 21 IIMs, CAT scores are accepted by more than 1,300 leading management institutes across India including FMS Delhi, MDI Gurgaon, SPJIMR Mumbai, IMT Ghaziabad, IIT MBA programs, TAPMI, FORE School of Management, and many others.

Unlike traditional competitive exams, CAT evaluates candidates based on logical thinking, analytical reasoning, quantitative aptitude, verbal ability, comprehension skills, and problem-solving capability rather than memorization.

The CAT examination is highly competitive, with over 3.5 lakh applicants expected to register for CAT 2026. A high CAT percentile significantly improves admission chances into premier MBA and PGDM programs.

TG EAPCET 2026 Final Phase Counselling Begins Today

The TG EAPCET 2026 Final Phase Counselling has commenced today (July 31, 2026) for admissions into B.Tech courses across Telangana. According to the EAMCET Admissions Committee, 22,972 engineering seats are available in the final phase. Candidates who did not get a seat, did not participate earlier, or wish to upgrade their allotted college or branch can participate in this round.

During Phase 2 Counselling, 80,167 candidates secured B.Tech seats, while 71,452 students joined their allotted colleges. Nearly 9,000 seats became vacant and are now available in the final phase. Candidates should note that the tuition fee paid will not be refunded if the allotted seat is cancelled during the final phase.

Additionally, a new Government Engineering College in Madhira, Khammam district, has been included in the final phase counselling, with admissions starting from the 2026-27 academic year.

TG EAPCET 2026 Phase 3 (Final Phase) Counselling Overview:

1. Fresh Web Options Are Mandatory

Your web options do not carry over between phases.

  • According to counselling rules, Phase 1 and Phase 2 options are not considered in the Final Phase.
  • You must build and lock a completely new list of college and branch preferences during the Phase 3 web options window on August 1โ€“2, 2026.
  • If you accept a seat in Phase 3, you automatically lose your previously allotted seat from Phase 1 or Phase 2.

2. Available Seats Are Limited to Vacancies

Phase 3 options are constrained by the seats left over after the first two phases.

  • Following the closure of Phase 2, there are 14,257 convener-quota seats remaining vacant.
  • With 80,167 seats already allotted across the previous phases, the overall fill rate currently stands at 84.90%.
  • Therefore, your options in Phase 3 are limited to the remaining 15.10% of seats, which are distributed across 113 colleges and 29 branches.

3. Risk of Withdrawing or Accepting Worse Seats

Your Phase 2 actions dictate your status going into Phase 3.

  • If you secured a seat in Phase 1 or Phase 2 and are satisfied, you do not need to participate in Phase 3; your current seat is retained.
  • If you want to upgrade in Phase 3, you should only list options that you genuinely prefer over your current allotment. If you are allotted a worse seat in Phase 3, you permanently surrender your earlier seat with no recourse.
  • The absolute last date to completely cancel an admission secured in Phase 2 is July 28, 2026. Dropouts or cancellations are strictly prohibited after the Final Phase of counselling is completed.
