- A confirmation will be sent to you as soon as the payment is successful. For future use, keep the payment reference ID handy.
- Lastly, print a copy of your filled-out application for your files and future reference.
Step-by-Step Counselling Process
Step 1: Online Registration and Fee Payment
Candidates must visit the dedicated web portal (icet-sche.aptonline.in) and select the “Candidate Registration” link. Log in using your AP ICET Hall Ticket Number and Date of Birth. The non-refundable processing fee must be cleared via the online payment gateway (Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI):
- OC / BC Candidates: ₹1,200/-
- SC / ST / PH Candidates: ₹600/-
Step 2: Verification of Certificates and Status Tracking
For a large majority of candidates, document verification happens entirely online through automated data fetching and manual evaluation by remote officers.
Special Category Physical Verification
Candidates claiming reservation under Special Categories—such as NCC, CAP (Children of Armed Personnel), Sports and Games, or physically handicapped (PH) status—cannot be verified entirely online. They must book a slot online and visit designated physical Help Line Centres (HLCs) set up at state government universities and colleges across Andhra Pradesh for original certificate endorsement.
Step 3: Exercising Web Options (Choice Filling)
Once your certificate verification status reads “Approved,” you can log into the option entry portal.
- Select your target parameters: You can filter the display by District and Institution Type (Government, Self-Financed, or Private).
- Understand the Visual Color Codes: To avoid confusion, the interface differentiates college types using a distinct system:
- Government Colleges are highlighted in one color block.
- Self-Financed Universities are marked with a separate background shade.
- Private Minority/Non-Minority Colleges carry an independent color label.
- Order of Preference: Add colleges to your selected options list. You must arrange them in descending order of true preference. It is highly recommended to fill at least 15 to 20 choices to optimize selection chances. Save your choices frequently, and ensure you lock them before the final choice-filling deadline.
Step 4: Seat Allotment Mechanics
The automated allocation algorithm processes choices based on a candidate’s merit rank alongside key administrative variables:
- Category Reservation: Standard vertical and horizontal reservation policies apply (OC, EWS, BC-A/B/C/D/E, SC, ST).
- Local Area Status: Allocation favors candidate priority zones categorized under local university domains—predominantly Andhra University (AU) area or Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) area.
- Gender Reservation: Specific percentages of seats are reserved for female candidates within individual categories wherever applicable.
Step 5: Reporting, Freezing, and Final Confirmation
Once the provisional allotment order is published, candidates have two primary options:
- Freeze/Accept: If satisfied with the college, download the Provisional Allotment Letter and proceed.
- Upgrade (Phase 2 Entry): If you wish to try for a better college in Phase 2, you can still accept the current seat via online self-reporting to keep it safe while opting to participate in the next phase.
To secure your final seat, a dual reporting process is mandatory:
- Online Self-Reporting: Log into the portal and click the “Self-Reporting” link to digitally accept the seat.
- Physical College Reporting: Visit the allotted college campus within the specified dates along with your original documents, photocopies, and the downloaded provisional allotment order to finalize your admission. Failure to execute either step will cause automatic forfeiture of the seat.
Candidates should keep the following original documents and two sets of photocopies ready:
- AP ICET 2026 Hall Ticket
- AP ICET 2026 Rank Card
- Transfer Certificate (TC)
- Degree Marks Memos & Provisional Certificate
- Intermediate Marks Memo / Diploma Marks Memo
- S.S.C or its equivalent Marks Memo
- Study Certificates from Class IX to Degree
- Residence Certificate (for private candidates)
- Income Certificate / Ration Card (for fee reimbursement)
- Caste Certificate (for BC/SC/ST issued by competent authority)
