  • Seat Availability
  • Reservation Rules
  • College Preferences Filled During Choice Filling

Admission is not granted only based on the entrance exam score. Every eligible candidate must participate in the CAP process.

Physical Scrutiny

  • Visit the allotted Scrutiny Centre.
  • Carry original documents.
  • Verification completed offline.

Important Point (Missed by many websites): If discrepancies are found during verification, candidates must rectify them within the prescribed period. Failure to complete document verification means the application will not be confirmed for the merit list.

MAH MBA CET 2026 Merit List

The CET Cell releases two merit lists:

Provisional Merit List

  • Published on 15 July 2026.
  • Candidates should verify all details carefully.

Final Merit List

Released after grievance resolution.

This merit list is used for CAP seat allotment.

Grievance Window

If candidates notice errors in:

  • Name
  • Category
  • Marks
  • Documents
  • Reservation
  • Eligibility

they must submit corrections during the grievance period.

Many students ignore this step and later lose reservation benefits.

Choice Filling Process

After the final merit list:

Candidates can:

  • Select MBA colleges
  • Arrange preferences
  • Modify options before locking
  • Save and confirm choices

Expert Tip: Fill maximum possible college options instead of only a few top colleges. This significantly improves the chances of getting a seat in the first or subsequent CAP rounds.

MAH MBA CET 2026 Seat Allotment Process

Seat allotment is based on:

  • Merit Rank
  • Entrance Exam Score
  • Reservation Category
  • College Preferences
  • Seat Availability

Once allotted:

  • Download the allotment letter.
  • Accept the allotted seat as per the applicable option (Freeze/Betterment, if offered in the CAP rules).
  • Report to the allotted institute within the specified timeline with original documents and admission fees.

Important Information Most Websites Miss

1. CAP Registration is Mandatory Even for CAT/CMAT Candidates

Many students believe that only MAH MBA CET candidates can participate.

Actually, candidates with CAT 2025 and CMAT 2026 scores are also eligible under the All India quota, subject to the official admission rules.

2. Verification Confirmation is Essential

Uploading documents alone does not complete the application.

Only after successful scrutiny and confirmation will the application be included in the merit list. This is a critical step that many applicants overlook.

3. Candidates Should Check the Merit List Carefully

If there is any discrepancy in category, marks, or candidature type, candidates should use the grievance window. Corrections are generally not entertained after the final merit list.

4. Admission Through CAP Only

Seats in participating MBA/MMS institutes are allotted through the official CAP process. Candidates should rely only on notifications published on the Maharashtra CET Cell admission portal for authentic schedules and instructions.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Waiting until the last day for registration.
