The Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test (TG ECET) 2026 counselling process is scheduled to begin from June 15, 2026. Candidates who qualified in TG ECET 2026 and are seeking admission into B.E./B.Tech, B.Pharmacy, and other lateral entry courses can participate in the web-based counselling conducted by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).

Eligibility For Admission:

• Candidate shall be an Indian National.
• The candidates should satisfy the local / unreserved status requirements as specified in G.O.Ms.No. 15 Higher Education (TE) Department dated 27-02-2025.
• Admission to 85% of the seats shall be reserved in each course in the Educational Institutions in the State for the local candidates of O.U. Area as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended and the remaining 15% of the seats shall be un-reserved seats, as follows:
  • All the candidates eligible to be declared as local candidates of O.U. Area.
  • Candidates who have resided in the State for a total period of ten years excluding periods of study outside the State or either of whose parents have resided in the State for a total period of ten years excluding periods of employment outside the State;
  • Candidates who are children of parents who are in the employment of this State or Central Government, Public Sector Corporation, Local Bodies, Universities and other similar quasi Public Institution within the State; and
  • Candidates who are spouses of those in the employment of the State or Central Government Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies Universities and educational Institutions recognized by the Government or a University or Other competent authority and similar other quasi-Government institutions within the State.
• Maximum eligible age for obtaining a scholarship is 25 years for OC candidates and 29 years for other candidates as on 01-07-2026 as per the guidelines prescribed in Memo No.10537/SW(Edn.2)/2011, dated: 20-10-2012 and further guidelines issued from time to time by Social Welfare (Edn.) Department shall apply.
• Candidate should have obtained a Diploma in Engineering and Technology /Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education and Training Telangana any other Diploma recognized by the Government of Telangana as equivalent there to for admission into relevant B.E / B.Tech. /B Pharmacy courses. (or) They should have passed three years B.Sc Degree Examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the group combination from a recognized University in the Telangana or its equivalent. However B.Sc (Mathematics) Degree Holders are not eligible for admission into B.Pharmacy Course.
• Mere appearing for TGECET-2026 and obtaining a rank does not entitle a candidate to be considered for admission automatically unless the candidate fulfills the requirements laid down for admissions.

ATTENTION TO NOT QUALIFIED NOT APPEARED TGECET -2026 MINORITY CANDIDATES:

Minority candidates (Muslim / Christian) who have not qualified or not appeared in TGECET -2026 and secured 45% (for OC) and 40% (for others) in aggregate marks in Diploma or B.Sc. (Mathematics) Degree Examination to consider them for the leftover seats in respective minority colleges, if any, after exhausting all the qualified Minority candidates of TGECET-2026. TG ECET Counselling 2026 Registration Process: Processing Fee Payment & Slot Booking Details

The Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test (TG ECET) 2026 counselling process begins with online registration and payment of the processing fee. Candidates who have qualified in TG ECET 2026 must complete the registration procedure through the official counselling portal to participate in seat allotment.

Step 1: Payment of Processing Fee

Candidates should visit the official website https://tgecet.nic.in and click on the “Payment of Processing Fee” link. To log in, candidates need to enter their TG ECET 2026 Registration Number, Hall Ticket Number, and Date of Birth as mentioned in the SSC Marks Memo.

After login, the Basic Information Form will be displayed. Candidates must carefully enter their Aadhaar Number, Mobile Number, and Email ID. Since all counselling-related information and login credentials will be sent to the registered mobile number, candidates should ensure that the details are correct. It is important to note that the registered mobile number cannot be changed later.

Candidates belonging to reserved categories should also enter the MeeSeva application numbers of their Caste Certificate, Income Certificate, and EWS Certificate (if applicable). After verifying all details, the processing fee can be paid online through Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.

Step 2: Slot Booking for Certificate Verification

All categories (OC/EWS/BC/SC/ST/MINORITY) candidates, Book your Slot (Selection of Help Line Center, Date & Time) to attend certificate verification at your nearest or convenient Help Line Center (HLC) mentioned in Annexure-I within the scheduled dates and attend for the Certificate Verification accordingly. Without payment of Processing Fee and Slot Booking, the candidate is not permitted to attend for Certificate Verification. The candidate shall be permitted to attend for Certificate Verification only at the Help Line Center (HLC) on the date and time as per the slot booked by the candidate.

Special category candidates i.e., National Cadet Corps (NCC)/Physically Challenged (PHC)/ Children of Armed Forces Personnel (CAP)/ Sports (SG) need to book Slot duly selecting the Help Line Center of GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC, MASABTANK, HYDERABAD to attend for Certificate Verification for given date and time slots as mentioned in Annexure-I, other certificates of these candidate will also be verified on the dates mentioned along with Special Reservation category Certificates.

TG ECET 2026 Certificate Verification Procedure and Mandatory Documents List

The certificate verification process is one of the most important stages of the TG ECET Counselling 2026. Candidates who have successfully paid the processing fee and completed slot booking must attend the verification process in person at the allotted Help Line Centre (HLC) according to the date and time selected during slot booking.

Physical Presence is Mandatory

Candidates must appear physically at the designated Help Line Centre as per their booked slot. Failure to attend certificate verification on the scheduled date and time may result in disqualification from the counselling process.

Applicants are advised to carry all original certificates along with two sets of Xerox copies for verification. Candidates belonging to special categories such as PHC, CAP, NCC, and Sports are required to submit three sets of photocopies of the relevant certificates.

Documents Required for TG ECET 2026 Certificate Verification

Candidates attending the TG ECET 2026 counselling certificate verification process must carry all original certificates along with two sets of photocopies (Xerox copies). The following documents are mandatory:

• TGECET -2026 Rank Card.
• TGECET -2026 Hall Ticket.
• Aadhar Card.
• S.S.C or its equivalent Marks memo.
• Diploma / Degree Memorandum of marks.
• Diploma / Degree Provisional Pass Certificate.
• Intermediate or its equivalent Memo-Cum-Pass Certificate in case of B.Sc (Mathematics) candidates.
• Study Certificate from VI to Diploma [9th Class to Degree in case of B.Sc (Mathematics), IV to Diploma in case of candidates studied in Statewide Institutions].
• Transfer Certificate (T.C).
• Income Certificate issued on or after 01-01-2026 by competent authority (if applicable).
• EWS Income and Assets Certificate issued by a Tahsildar valid for the year 2026-27 (if applicable).
• Caste Certificate issued by competent authority (if applicable).
• Residence Certificate of candidate for a period of 7 years preceding to qualifying examination in case where the candidate has no institutionalized education.
• Minorities: SSC TC containing Minority Status or Certificate from the Head Master. or the Certificate issued from competent authority as per G.O.Rt.No. 323, Revenue (services. II) Department Dated: 16-09-2023.

Documents Required for Non-Local Candidates (15% Unreserved Seats)

Non-local candidates seeking consideration under the 15% unreserved category must submit any one of the following certificates:

Residence Certificate issued through MeeSeva: Candidates who have resided in Telangana State for a total period of 10 years, excluding periods of study outside the State, or candidates whose either parent has resided in the State for a total period of 10 years excluding periods of employment outside the State.

Employer Certificate (Parents): Candidates who are children of parents employed in the State Government, Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities, or other similar Quasi-Public Institutions within Telangana State at the time of applying for TG ECET 2026.

Employer Certificate (Spouse): Candidates who are spouses of persons employed in the State Government, Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities, educational institutions recognized by the Government or a University, or other similar quasi-government institutions within Telangana State.

Special Category Certificates

Candidates claiming reservation under special categories must produce additional certificates and three sets of photocopies.

PHC (Physically Handicapped) Category

Candidates belonging to the PHC category must submit a disability certificate issued by the District Medical Board. Only candidates with 40% or more disability are eligible for reservation benefits.

CAP (Children of Armed Forces Personnel)

Candidates seeking admission under the CAP category must produce a CAP Certificate issued by the Regional Sainik Welfare Officer for Ex-Servicemen or by the Unit Commanding Officer for serving Defence Personnel, CRPF, and BSF personnel. Service Register details showing domicile or permanent residence in Telangana should also be submitted.

NCC Category

Candidates claiming reservation under the NCC category should submit certificates issued by the competent authorities.

Sports (SG) Category

Sports category candidates must produce sports achievements and testimonials along with Forms I, II, III, and IV duly attested by recognized State Sports Associations under the Sports Authority of Telangana (SATG).

Candidates are advised to verify all certificates carefully before attending the Help Line Centre to ensure a smooth TG ECET Counselling 2026 certificate verification process and avoid any last-minute issues during admissions.

NOTE: Candidates belonging to NCC, Sports, PHC, and CAP categories must attend verification at Government Polytechnic, Masab Tank, Hyderabad.

SCHEDULE FOR SPECIAL CATEGORIES PHC / CAP / NCC / SPORTS (SG):

The special category candidates PHC/ CAP / NCC / Sports (SG) need to book slot only selecting the Help Line Center of GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC, MASAB TANK, HYDERABAD to attend for certificate verification as per below schedule. The other certificates of these candidates will also be verified along with Special Reservation category certificates.

NOTE:

• Candidates belonging to NCC, Sports, PHC, and CAP categories must attend verification at Government Polytechnic, Masab Tank, Hyderabad.
• Special categories i.e., PHC/CAP/NCC/Sports (SG) certificates shall be verified during First Phase of counselling only on scheduled date and time. No further Certificate Verification for Special Categories after schedule date and time. No Certificate Verification for Special Categories in final phase. Allotments for NCC / Sports categories will be made in final phase only after due verification from the concerned authorities.
• After verification of original certificates, Receipt of Certificates (ROC) will be issued to the candidate duly signed by Chief Verification Officer. Candidate / Parents should check the details printed on ROC, if correction required, immediately contact Chief Verification Officer for rectification.
• Immediately after Certificate Verification the login ID will be sent to the candidate to the registered mobile number, if not received collect login ID at Help Line Center before leaving Certificate Verification Hall. Note down the login ID received and do not disclose to anyone.

Web Options and Seat Allotment

After successful certificate verification, candidates will receive login credentials through their registered mobile number. Students are advised to exercise as many options as possible to improve their chances of getting a seat.

The Phase-1 seat allotment result will be released on or before June 24, 2026, while the final phase allotment is expected on or before July 09, 2026.

Candidates allotted seats must pay the tuition fee and complete online self-reporting within the specified dates. Failure to do so will result in automatic cancellation of the allotted seat.

Important Instructions

• Fresh web options must be entered in the final phase.
• Previous phase options will not be carried forward.
• Candidates participating in the final phase may lose their previously allotted seat if a new seat is allotted.
• No cancellations are permitted after the final phase counselling.
• Candidates are advised to make fee payments using their own bank accounts to avoid refund-related issues.
