Step 2: State Merit List

After successful verification, DME prepares and publishes the MP State Merit List.

Step 4: Seat Allotment

Seats are allotted based on:

  • Reservation Category
  • College Preferences
  • Seat Availability

Step 5: Physical Reporting

Candidates allotted a seat must report to the allotted college with original certificates and complete admission formalities.

Round-to-Round Upgradation Process

MP follows an Upgradation Option during counselling.

If you select “NO”:

  • The allotted seat becomes final.
  • Counselling process ends for the candidate.

If you select “YES”:

  • You retain the allotted seat temporarily.
  • You become eligible for upgradation in Round 2.
  • If upgraded, the previous seat is automatically cancelled.
  • If not upgraded, the original seat remains valid.

This system allows candidates to secure a seat while still competing for higher preferred colleges.
