JNTUGV Holidays Declared for Colleges in Vizianagaram Due to Cyclone Arnab and Heavy Rainfall 2026 – Holiday Circular
Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Gurajada, Vizianagaram (JNTUGV) has issued a circular regarding the declaration of holidays for constituent and affiliated colleges in Vizianagaram district in view of Cyclone Arnab and the forecast of heavy rainfall. The decision has been taken considering the prevailing weather conditions and the safety of students, teaching faculty, non-teaching staff, and other college personnel.
Due to the possibility of heavy rainfall, strong winds, and related weather disturbances associated with the cyclone, educational institutions may face difficulties in conducting regular academic activities. In such circumstances, declaring holidays is an important precautionary measure to minimise travel-related risks and ensure the safety of students and staff members.
As per the holiday circular, the instructions apply to the concerned JNTUGV constituent and affiliated colleges located in Vizianagaram district. Students are advised to check the official university circular for the exact dates of the holidays and any additional instructions issued by the university authorities. Colleges should follow the directions communicated by JNTUGV and inform students and staff about any changes to their academic schedules.
Students are also advised to stay updated through official college communication channels and university announcements regarding the resumption of regular classes, examinations, practical sessions, and other academic activities. If any examinations or scheduled academic events are affected by the holiday declaration, students should wait for official notifications from the university or their respective colleges regarding revised dates.
The holiday declaration is intended to serve as a precautionary step during adverse weather conditions. Students and staff are encouraged to follow instructions issued by local authorities, avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rainfall, and take appropriate safety measures.
For the latest information, students should refer to the official JNTUGV website and the circular issued by the university. The official notification should be treated as the final source for the applicable holiday dates and instructions regarding constituent and affiliated colleges in Vizianagaram district
