JNTUH Circular on Grace Marks and Subject Exemptions as per Academic Regulations

JNTU-Hyderabad

Summary

It is hereby informed that the University provides grace marks and subject exemptions to students in accordance with the respective Academic Regulations and Orders, where the grace marks are added to the failed subject(s). Till now, there is no clear demarcation of students who pass all subjects normally and students who clear certain subjects through addition of grace marks or subjects exemption. In view of this, the actual academic credentials/capabilities are not reflected in the marks memos. In some cases, students who benefit from these relaxations secure a higher percentage than those who pass conventionally. This advantage makes a genuine student appear inferior to one who has benefited from grace marks or exemptions.

JNTUH Circular on Grace Marks and Subject Exemptions as per Academic Regulations

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) has issued a circular regarding grace marks and subject exemptions for students in accordance with the respective academic regulations. This circular provides important information for students pursuing various undergraduate and postgraduate courses affiliated with the university. Students are advised to understand the applicable rules and guidelines before making decisions related to their academic performance, examination results, and completion of their courses.

Grace marks are generally considered under specific conditions prescribed by the university's academic regulations. Eligible students may receive the benefit of grace marks subject to the rules applicable to their respective batches and courses. However, the eligibility criteria, maximum permissible marks, and conditions for granting such benefits may differ depending on the academic regulations under which a student is enrolled. Therefore, students should carefully refer to the official JNTUH circular to determine whether they qualify for any such provision.

The circular also addresses subject exemptions, which may apply to eligible students under the relevant academic regulations. The conditions governing subject exemptions can vary according to the course structure, regulation year, and applicable university guidelines. Students should verify the specific provisions relevant to their academic batch rather than relying on rules applicable to other batches or regulations.

Candidates who are awaiting results, facing subject backlogs, or completing their degree requirements should carefully review the official notification for clarity regarding the applicable provisions. College examination branches and academic departments may also provide guidance regarding the implementation of these rules.

Students are advised to download and read the official JNTUH circular thoroughly to understand the eligibility requirements, applicable conditions, and procedures, if any. It is important to follow the academic regulations applicable to the student's admission batch, as the benefits and exemptions may not be uniform across all regulations.

For the latest and accurate information, students should refer to the official JNTUH notification and contact their respective college authorities for clarification regarding grace marks, subject exemptions, and other related academic matters.
