The NEET UG 2026 registration process has officially begun on February 8, 2026, through the official website neet.nta.nic.in. The application process is being conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for candidates seeking admission to undergraduate medical courses across India.

Eligible candidates can submit the NEET UG 2026 application form online till March 8, 2026 (9:00 PM). The payment of the application fee must be completed through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI by March 8, 2026, up to 11:50 PM. NTA has clearly stated that offline applications will not be accepted under any circumstances.

As per the official schedule, the NEET UG 2026 examination will be conducted on May 3, 2026, which falls on the first Sunday of May. The exam will be held in pen-and-paper mode for admission to MBBS, BDS, and other undergraduate medical and allied health science programmes.

NEET 2026 Exam Date

The exam will be held on 03rd May 2026 and the duration of the examination will be 18O minutes (03 hours) from O2:OO PM to O5:OO PM (IST).

The NEET (UG) – 2026 will be conducted in 13 languages i.e. Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

NEET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Students must verify eligibility before applying:

1. Nationality

  • Indian Nationals
  • NRIs / PIO / OCI and Foreign Nationals can also apply.

2. Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 17 years as of December 31, 2026
  • No upper age limit (as per current NMC guidelines).

3. Educational Qualification

  • Candidate must have passed Class 12 (Intermediate) with:
    • Biology/Biotechnology
    • Physics
    • Chemistry
    • English
  • Students appearing in Class 12 board exams in 2026 are also eligible.

How to Apply for NEET 2026 Online?

Follow the step-by-step process below:

  • i. Candidates can apply for NEET (UG) – 2026 through the “Online” mode only through the website https://neet.nta.nic.in/
  • ii. Submission of the Online Application Form may be done by accessing the NTA website https://neet.nta.nic.in/. The Application Form in any other mode will not be accepted.
  • iii. Candidate has to upload recent passport photograph, address proof, scanned signature, etc. For detailed information please read the Information Bulletin carefully.
  • iv. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate.
  • v. Candidates must strictly follow the instructions given in the Information Bulletin and on the NTA website. Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be summarily disqualified.
  • vi. Candidates must ensure that the e-mail address and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form are their own or Parents/Guardians’ only, as all information/ communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address or SMS on the registered Mobile Number only.
