JEE Mains 2026 Session 1 Official Notification:
The National Testing Agency has finally released the official notification for JEE Main 2026. The JEE Main 2026 exams will be conducted in two sessions: the first session in January 2026 and the second session in April 2026. Candidates appearing for the engineering entrance exams are advised to complete the online registration and application process before the deadline.
Registration for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 began on October 31, 2025. The last date to apply for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 is November 27, 2025. The complete schedule, including exam city information slips and admit card release dates, will be released later on the official website. Candidates are advised to keep an eye on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in, for the latest updates.

The National Testing Agency will probably announce the “JEE Main Exam Date for Session 1 in October 2025”. The exam will be held in 2 sessions. Session 1 will be held in the last week of January 2026, whereas session 2 will be held in the first week of April 2025. How To Fill the Registration Form for JEE Main 2026?
- Visit the official website of JEE (Main).
- Click on the registration link for the April session.
- Fill in the required details such as personal information, educational qualifications, choice of examination center, etc.
- Upload scanned copies of the necessary documents such as photograph, signature, and other supporting documents.
- Pay the application fee through the provided payment gateway.
- Verify all the details entered before final submission.
- Download and print the confirmation page for future reference.
Age Eligibility:
- The date of birth should fall on or after 1st October 1994.
- For SC/ST & PwD candidates, the DOB should fall on or after 1st October 1989.
Attempt Limit:
- Candidates can attempt for maximum three times for the JEE main exam.
- Attempt limit is same for all the categories.
- For JEE Advanced, candidates can appear for maximum two consecutive years.

Exam Pattern for JEE main 2026:
The examination will comprise of two papers
Paper 1 (for B.E/B.Tech) and paper 2 (for B.Arch/B.Planing).
The detailed JEE Main exam pattern for both papers is mentioned below:
- Exam Mode: The examination will be organized in online (computer based) mode. The drawing test for Paper 2 will be conducted through offline mode.
- Type of Questions (Paper 1): The question paper will comprise of objective type questions.
- Type of Questions (Paper 2): Mathematics and aptitude section will be of objective type questions and drawing test will be subjective.
- Duration: The total exam duration will be three hours. The paper 1 will be conducted in two sittings, i.e. 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Paper 2 will be held in one shift only.
- Medium: The question paper will be asked in English and Hindi language for all exam cities and English, Hindi and Gujarati languages for exam cities in Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli.
- Marks Criteria: Four marks will be provided for each correct answer.
- Negative Marks: One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

JEE Main Syllabus 2026

JEE Main Admit Card 2026
Below we have mentioned details about the JEE Main admit card 2026:
- Successfully registered candidates will be able to download the admit card via online mode.
- The authority also provide JEE Main slot booking facility along form filling.
- The admit card will be provided on January 2026 (for January session)
- For online mode exam, students can also book their slot.
- Candidates have to download it by entering their Application Number, Date of Birth and Security Code.
- If any discrepancy found in the JEE main hall ticket 2026, communicate to the JEE (Main) Secretariat/CBSE immediately.
- Candidates have to bring any one photo ID proof along with the admit card.
JEE main 2026 Answer Key
After the few days of completion of examination, the answer key will be published through the website. It will be released in the month of Feb 2026.
JEE Main answer key 2026 will be released along with images of OMR sheets. If candidates are not satisfied with the answer key they can challenge it.
Candidates have to fill an online application and have to pay Rs. 1000/- per question to challenge the answer key. Fee payment can be done through debit/credit card.
JEE Main Result 2026
Students who will appear in the exam can check the result within a month after the examination. Here we have mentioned details about the result date, mode, etc.
- JEE Main 2025 Result will be provided on Oct 2025 for January session.
- Students will be able to check the result only through online mode.
