About Andhra Pradesh State Board Of Intermediate Education:
Andhra Pradesh's Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) administers the Intermediate Public Examination (IPE). This board was founded in 1971 by undivided Andhra Pradesh to administer the state's Intermediate education system. Andhra Pradesh is the first state in the country to implement the 10+2+3 education system.
Honorable Minister of the State for Secondary Education acts as chairman and secretary to Government, Secondary Education as vice-chairman of the board. The secretary of I.A.S. Rank acts as the chief executive of the board.
About Intermediate Course
Intermediate is a Two-Year course for students who completed 10th Class or have their SSC or CBSE or ICSE Class 10 certificate. As many as 7,00,000 students appear for Intermediate exams every year in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Among these around 5,00,000 students take admissions inter Intermediate colleges in different Courses.

Practical Examinations are conducted from 05-02-2024 to 20-02-2024 and 05-02-2024 to 20-02-2024 in morning (9AM to 12 Noon) and evening sessions (2pm to 5pm) continuously including sundays

Approximately there are around 85 different courses. Popular Intermediate courses among the students are MPC(Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry), BiPC(Biology, Physics, Chemistry), MEC(Mathematics, Economics, Commerce), CEC(Civics, Economics, Commerce). Selection of Intermediate course deicides the future of a student like if a student wants to be a doctor he/she has to opt for Bipc & if he/she want a career in Engineering sector, MPC has to be selected.
The examination for Intermediate students is conducted every year in the month of March.
In this two year Intermediate course, the 1st year of Education also called Junior Inter Exams starts 1st March 2024 and ends in 19th March 2024. In the same manner, 2nd year or Senior Intermediate starts 2nd March 2024 and ends in 20th March 2024.
It is mandatory for all the candidates to get through both the years of Intermediate Examinations to get the certificate from the State Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh. Without the Intermediate certificate the students will not be eligible for admission into any Graduation level courses.
Andhra Pradesh Intermediate 2nd Year Examination Time Table
It is to inform that, the Time Table for the conduct of Intermediate Publc Examinations March 2024 pertaining to General Courses has been released through the press. It will be available in the Board of Intermediate Education Website https://bie.ap.gov.in. A copy of the same is furnised overleaf.
- a) Ethics and Human Values Examination is proposed to be conducted on 22-02-2024 (Monday) from 10.00 AM to 01.00 PM
- b) Environmental Education Examination is proposed to be conducted on 24-02-2024 (wednesday) from 10.00 AM to 01.00 PM
- c)Samagra Siksha Vocational Trade Examination (NSQF Level-4) (Theory) shall be conducted on 22-02-2024 (Thursday) from 10.00AM to 12.00AM
- d) Practical Examination are proposed from 15-04-2024 (saturday) to 25-04-2024 (Tuesday) in two sessions i.e. 9.00 AM to 12.00 Noon and 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM every day (including Sundays) for general Intermediate courses in Non- jumbling syatem.
- Theory examinations will be held from 9.00 AM to 12.00 noon from 15-03-2024 to 04-04-2024.
Some Instructions regarding these Examinations
I. Regular II year Students (Students admitted into First Year during the Academic year 2023-24 and now promoted to Second Year during the Academic Year 2023-24):
III. Private Candidates (Students having Backlog subjects):
- The Private candidates should pay the Examination fee for one or more failed subjects they wish to appear,
IV. Attendance Exemption Candidates:
- All the candidates under attendance exemption category should pay the examination fee,
V. Compulsory Qualifying Subjects:
- All the candidates failed in or absent for "Ethics & Human Values" and "Environmental Education Examinations" (compulsory Qualifying Examinations) who did not pay the Examination fee for IPE March 2024 and now willing to appear for these examinations should pay the Examination fee,
VI. Practical Examinations:
- All the candidates filed in or absent for any subjects of Practical Examinations can pay the Examination fee for these Examinations,
- There is no Betterment of Marks for Practical Examinations.
Therfore, it is instructed to give wide publicity of the schedule of exams among the teaching staff and students of your college regarding the dates, timings of the theory examinations and display a copy of the Time Table prominently on the Notice Board of your college without fail.
Andhra Pradesh State Board of Intermediate Education Examination 2nd Year March 2024 Time Table
For Senior Intermediate Students or 2nd Year Inter students there will be Practical Exams for those who opted for Biology, Chemistry & Physics as their
Main subject of study before the Public examinations.
For the academic Year 2023-24 the 2nd year Final Exams for Senior Inter students will commence from March 2024.
However according to the official Press release these are only tentative dates for the AP Intermediate Examination 2024.
