SSC CGL 2026 Exam Syllabus Download

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the updated syllabus and exam pattern for the SSC CGL 2026 examination. Candidates preparing for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam should thoroughly understand the syllabus to score well in both Tier 1 and Tier 2 examinations. The SSC CGL 2026 Tier 1 examination consists of four major sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. The Tier 1 exam carries 200 marks with 100 objective-type questions. Important topics in Quantitative Aptitude include Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Profit & Loss, Percentage, Time & Work, and Data Interpretation. The Reasoning section covers Coding-Decoding, Analogies, Series, Puzzles, Syllogism, and Venn Diagrams. English includes Grammar, Vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms, Cloze Test, and Reading Comprehension, while General Awareness focuses on Current Affairs, History, Geography, Economy, Science, and Polity.

The Tier 2 examination is the main merit-based stage and includes Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning & General Intelligence, English Language & Comprehension, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge Test, and Data Entry Skill Test. Candidates applying for Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) posts must also appear for the Statistics paper.
