The Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU) has released the official fee notification for B.Tech (NON-CBCS), CBCS, and AICTE 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th Semester Backlog Examinations scheduled for March 2026. This notification is applicable to all eligible candidates who have pending backlogs in the mentioned semesters under various regulations.

As per the announcement, students who failed or were absent in previous regular examinations can now register for the upcoming backlog exams. The university has instructed all affiliated engineering colleges to inform their students and ensure timely submission of examination applications along with the prescribed fee.

Candidates must submit their examination forms through their respective colleges within the stipulated dates mentioned in the notification. The fee structure generally varies depending on the number of subjects a student is applying for. Students appearing for one or two subjects are required to pay a specified examination fee, while those appearing for more subjects must pay accordingly as per university norms. In addition to the exam fee, students may also need to pay memo or processing charges if applicable.

The university has clearly stated that no application will be accepted after the last date without a late fee. However, a grace period with a prescribed late fee may be provided for students who fail to apply within the regular schedule. Detailed information regarding the last date for submission, late fee amount, and other instructions will be available at the respective colleges and on the official university website.

Students are advised to carefully verify their eligibility, subject codes, and semester details before submitting the application form. Hall tickets for the March 2026 backlog examinations will be issued prior to the commencement of exams.

MGU has urged students to utilize this opportunity to clear their backlogs and progress academically without further delay.
