MANUU MSc Industrial Chemistry & Bioinformatics introduced 2026 Press Release
The Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has officially announced the introduction of two new postgraduate programmes—M.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry and M.Sc. in Bioinformatics—for the academic year 2026–27. This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to expanding its academic portfolio in line with emerging industry demands and technological advancements.
According to the press release, these newly introduced courses are designed to equip students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills required in modern scientific and industrial sectors. The M.Sc. Industrial Chemistry programme will focus on areas such as chemical process industries, material science, and applied chemistry techniques used in manufacturing and research. On the other hand, the M.Sc. Bioinformatics programme aims to bridge biology and computational science, offering training in data analysis, genomics, and software tools used in biological research.
MANUU officials stated that the introduction of these courses aligns with the goals of the National Education Policy 2020, which emphasizes multidisciplinary education, skill development, and research-oriented learning. The university has also ensured that both programmes will include modern laboratory facilities, updated curriculum frameworks, and opportunities for internships and industry exposure.
Admissions to these courses are expected to begin soon through the university’s official admission portal. Eligible candidates with relevant undergraduate degrees in science streams will be able to apply as per the guidelines issued by the university. The courses will be offered at the main campus with experienced faculty and access to advanced research infrastructure.
With the launch of these programmes, MANUU aims to provide students with enhanced career opportunities in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, research institutions, and IT-driven biological sciences. This move is also expected to attract a wider pool of students seeking specialized education in high-demand scientific fields.
Overall, the introduction of M.Sc. Industrial Chemistry and Bioinformatics marks a significant step forward in MANUU’s academic development and its vision to produce skilled professionals ready to meet global industry standards.
