JNTUK Circular: My Bharat 2026 Nodal Officer & Student Youth Icon

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK) has issued a circular regarding the My Bharat 2026 initiative, inviting all affiliated and constituent colleges to nominate a Nodal Officer and a Student Youth Icon. The initiative aims to strengthen youth participation in nation-building activities and promote leadership, innovation, volunteerism, and community engagement among students.

According to the circular, every participating college is required to appoint a faculty member as the My Bharat Nodal Officer. The Nodal Officer will act as the primary coordinator between the institution and the My Bharat platform, ensuring smooth implementation of youth-related programs, awareness campaigns, skill development activities, and volunteer initiatives organized under the scheme.

In addition to the Nodal Officer, colleges are also instructed to identify and nominate a Student Youth Icon. The selected student should possess excellent leadership qualities, active involvement in extracurricular and social service activities, and the ability to motivate fellow students to participate in My Bharat events. The Youth Icon will represent the institution in various state and national-level youth programs and help promote the objectives of the initiative within the campus.

The circular emphasizes timely submission of the required nomination details in the prescribed format. Institutions are advised to verify the eligibility of the nominated candidates and ensure that all information is accurate before forwarding the details to the university authorities.

The My Bharat initiative is designed to empower young people by encouraging participation in community service, environmental awareness campaigns, digital literacy, entrepreneurship, innovation, and civic engagement. Through this program, students gain opportunities to develop leadership skills, build social responsibility, and contribute to the overall development of society.
