JNTUH Proceeding for Autonomous Colleges: Penalties for Repeated Mistakes/Corrections in Results, RC/RV Results, PC/CMM and OD Data Approval

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) has issued proceedings regarding penalties for autonomous colleges that repeatedly submit incorrect or inconsistent academic data. The decision is aimed at improving the accuracy, transparency, and reliability of student records submitted by affiliated autonomous institutions.

According to the proceedings, the penalties apply when colleges repeatedly request corrections in semester examination results, Recounting (RC) and Revaluation (RV) results, Provisional Certificates (PC), Consolidated Marks Memos (CMM), and Original Degree (OD) data after the initial approval process. Such repeated corrections create administrative delays, increase verification workload, and may affect the timely issue of certificates to students.

JNTUH has instructed all autonomous colleges to ensure that examination branches thoroughly verify student information before submitting data for university approval. Colleges are expected to cross-check student names, hall ticket numbers, subject codes, grades, credits, CGPA, and other academic details to avoid errors. Institutions must also maintain proper internal quality checks before forwarding data to the university.

The university has emphasized that repeated mistakes due to negligence may attract penalties as prescribed in the proceedings. The objective is not only to reduce unnecessary revisions but also to promote accountability among autonomous colleges. Accurate data submission helps ensure that students receive their results and academic certificates without unnecessary delays or complications.

College principals, controllers of examinations, and examination branch staff are advised to strictly follow the university guidelines while preparing and submitting examination records. Timely verification and adherence to JNTUH regulations will help minimize correction requests and improve the overall efficiency of academic administration.

Students studying in JNTUH autonomous colleges are advised to verify their personal and academic details whenever results or certificates are released. In case of any discrepancy, they should immediately contact their respective college examination branch for necessary clarification and corrective action as per the university's prescribed procedures.
