JNTUA Pharm.D(PB) 3rd Year Academic Calendar for AY 2026-27
The JNTUA Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate) 3rd Year Academic Calendar for the Academic Year 2026–27 outlines the structured schedule of academic activities, examinations, and institutional planning designed by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur to ensure smooth conduct of the program. The Pharm.D (PB) course, being a professional pharmacy doctorate program, focuses on advanced clinical pharmacy practice, patient care training, and hospital-based learning experiences.
As per the tentative academic planning, the 3rd year classes are expected to commence in July 2026 following the completion of admission formalities and previous year supplementary examinations. The first semester of the academic year will generally run from July 2026 to December 2026, including continuous internal assessments, seminars, clinical postings, and periodic practical evaluations. Internal examinations are likely to be conducted twice per semester to monitor student progress in subjects such as Pharmacotherapeutics, Clinical Pharmacy, Hospital Pharmacy Practice, and Biostatistics.
The university also schedules mid-term reviews and case study presentations in coordination with affiliated teaching hospitals to strengthen real-time clinical exposure. The semester-end examinations are expected to be conducted in December 2026, followed by a short semester break.
The second semester of the academic year 2026–27 is anticipated to begin in January 2027 and continue until June 2027. During this period, students will undergo advanced clinical training, ward rounds, drug therapy monitoring, and dissertation-related activities. Internal assessments, viva voce examinations, and practical evaluations will be conducted periodically to ensure academic performance standards.
The semester-end examinations for the second semester are likely to be held in May or June 2027, after which students may proceed for internship or advanced clinical training as per Pharm.D (PB) regulations.
Overall, the academic calendar is designed to maintain a balance between theoretical knowledge and hands-on clinical practice, ensuring that Pharm.D (PB) graduates from JNTUA are well-prepared for professional roles in hospitals, pharmaceutical industries, and research organizations.
