The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur M.Tech R25 Power Electronics Course Structure and Syllabus has been designed to meet the growing demand for advanced power conversion, renewable energy integration, electric vehicles, and smart grid technologies. The R25 regulation, applicable from the academic year 2025–26 onwards, focuses on both theoretical knowledge and practical industry-oriented learning.

The first year first semester includes core subjects such as Power Converters Analysis and Machine Modelling & Analysis. Students can also choose electives like Smart Grid Technologies, Modern Control Theory, Sustainable Energy Solutions, and Microcontroller Applications to Power Electronics. Laboratory sessions are included to provide hands-on experience in converter analysis and machine modeling. Research Methodology and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) are also part of the curriculum to improve research skills.

In the second semester, the syllabus becomes more advanced with subjects like Advanced Power Converters Analysis and Electrical Drives. Electives include Distributed Generation, Battery Technologies, Electric Vehicle Charging Techniques, and Power Quality Improvement Techniques. Students also work on mini projects, seminars, and advanced laboratory experiments to strengthen practical knowledge.

The syllabus covers important modern technologies such as PWM inverters, multilevel converters, digital controllers, renewable energy systems, electric vehicles, and battery management systems. The curriculum is structured to prepare students for careers in power electronics industries, renewable energy companies, electric vehicle manufacturing, research organizations, and higher studies.
