The JNTUA M.Tech R25 – Digital Systems & Computer Electronics (DSCE) program is a two-year postgraduate course designed to provide advanced knowledge in digital hardware design, embedded systems, and computer electronics. The curriculum under the R25 regulations is structured to balance theoretical foundations, practical skills, and research-oriented learning.

In the first year – Semester I, students study core subjects such as FPGA Based System Design and Advanced RISC Architectures, which focus on modern reconfigurable hardware design and processor architecture principles. Along with these, elective subjects like Machine Learning and Deep Learning, VLSI Technology and Design, and Embedded Real-Time Operating Systems allow students to specialize in emerging technologies. Laboratory courses such as FPGA Design Lab and RISC Architecture Lab provide hands-on experience using HDL tools and hardware platforms. Additionally, Research Methodology & IPR helps students understand academic research practices and intellectual property rights.

In Semester II, the curriculum expands into advanced topics like Advanced Computer Networks and Embedded System Design. Students can choose electives including IoT Architecture, Fault Tolerant Systems, SoC Architectures, and Hardware-Software Co-design. Practical exposure is enhanced through Network Simulation Lab, Embedded System Lab, and a Mini Project with Seminar, encouraging innovation and problem-solving skills.

The course structure emphasizes credit-based learning, combining theory (lectures), practical labs, and project work. Audit courses are also included to improve soft skills, ethics, and professional development. Overall, the R25 DSCE syllabus is designed to prepare students for careers in VLSI design, embedded systems engineering, semiconductor industries, and research domains.

By integrating core electronics, computer architecture, and modern computing technologies, the JNTUA R25 DSCE program ensures graduates are industry-ready and capable of contributing to advanced digital system innovations.
