JNTUA M.Tech R25 Digital Electronics & Communication Systems – Course Structure and Syllabus
The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur has introduced the R25 regulations for M.Tech programs from the academic year 2025–26 onwards. The M.Tech in Digital Electronics & Communication Systems is designed to provide advanced knowledge in digital communication, embedded systems, VLSI, signal processing, and modern communication technologies. The syllabus focuses on both theoretical concepts and practical laboratory skills to prepare students for research, higher education, and industry-oriented careers.
The course structure is divided into four semesters with professional core subjects, elective subjects, laboratories, mini projects, seminars, and dissertation work. In the first year, students study core subjects such as FPGA Based System Design, Advanced RISC Architectures, Embedded System Design, and Advanced Computer Networks. Elective subjects include Machine Learning, VLSI Technology, IoT Architecture, Fault Tolerant Systems, and Wireless Communication technologies.
Laboratory sessions play an important role in the curriculum. Students gain hands-on experience through FPGA laboratories, Embedded Systems labs, Network Simulation labs, and communication system experiments. The program also includes Research Methodology & Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) to improve research and innovation capabilities.
During the final year, students focus on mini projects, technical seminars, and major project work. These projects help students apply theoretical knowledge to real-world engineering problems. The syllabus is designed according to current industry requirements in areas such as VLSI Design, Embedded Systems, IoT, Digital Signal Processing, and Communication Networks.
Overall, the JNTUA M.Tech R25 Digital Electronics & Communication Systems syllabus provides a strong academic foundation and practical exposure for students aiming for careers in semiconductor industries, communication engineering, embedded systems, research organizations, and software-hardware integrated technologies.
