JNTUA M.Tech R25 Computer Science & Engineering Course Structure & Syllabus
The JNTUA M.Tech R25 Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) program is a two-year postgraduate course designed to provide advanced knowledge in computing, algorithms, and modern technologies. It follows the latest R25 regulations implemented from the academic year 2025–26, focusing on both theoretical foundations and practical skills.
In the first year (I–I Semester), students study core subjects such as Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science and Advanced Data Structures, which build strong analytical and programming skills. Along with these, students choose Professional Electives like Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Database Programming with PL/SQL, Cyber Security, and Cloud Computing. Laboratory courses such as Advanced Data Structures Lab and elective-based labs help students gain hands-on coding experience.
In the I–II Semester, the curriculum advances to subjects like Advanced Algorithms and Advanced Computer Architecture. Students explore emerging technologies through electives such as Generative AI, Large Language Models, Parallel Computing, and Robotic Process Automation. Practical learning continues with labs, mini-projects, and seminar-based research activities.
The second year (II–I Semester) introduces specialized electives including Digital Forensics, Quantum Computing, Advanced Operating Systems, and Prompt Engineering. Students also select Open Electives to broaden interdisciplinary knowledge.
The final semester is fully dedicated to Project Work and Dissertation, where students apply their learning to real-world research or industry problems.
Overall, the JNTUA M.Tech R25 CSE syllabus is designed to balance core computer science concepts, advanced electives, lab practice, and research orientation. It prepares students for careers in software development, data science, AI/ML, cybersecurity, and academic research.
Conclusion:
The R25 CSE curriculum is industry-relevant, research-driven, and aligned with modern technological trends, making it highly valuable for postgraduate engineering students.
