The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur has released the B.Pharmacy R23 Regulations Course Structure and Detailed Syllabus for 4th Year students. The R23 regulation is applicable for students admitted from the academic year 2023-24 onwards. The syllabus is designed according to modern pharmaceutical industry requirements and focuses on advanced pharmacy education, research skills, clinical knowledge, and industrial training.
In the 4th Year B.Pharmacy curriculum, students study subjects related to advanced pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical biotechnology, pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, industrial pharmacy, medicinal chemistry, and clinical pharmacy. The course structure is divided into two semesters: IV-I and IV-II. Each semester contains theory subjects, practical laboratory sessions, seminars, project work, and industrial-oriented electives.
The IV-I Semester mainly emphasizes pharmaceutical production technologies, drug regulatory systems, pharmacoeconomics, and hospital pharmacy management. Students also gain practical exposure through laboratory experiments and case studies. The IV-II Semester generally includes project work, industrial training, and elective subjects that help students develop specialization skills in pharmaceutical sciences.
The R23 syllabus also promotes outcome-based education by improving communication skills, analytical abilities, research orientation, and professional ethics. Students are encouraged to participate in internships, seminars, workshops, and industry collaborations to enhance employability opportunities in pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, research organizations, and healthcare sectors.
