AP Polycet 2026 Polytechnic Common Entrance Test Notification

The Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (AP POLYCET) 2026 notification has been officially released by the State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Andhra Pradesh. This entrance examination is conducted every year for students seeking admission into various diploma courses offered by government, aided, and private polytechnic colleges across the state for the academic year 2026–27.

According to the official notification, the online application process for AP POLYCET 2026 began on 3 March 2026. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official website before the last date 4 April 2026 without a late fee. The entrance examination is scheduled to be conducted on 25 April 2026 in a single shift from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at various examination centers across Andhra Pradesh.

AP POLYCET is a state-level entrance test designed to provide admission into diploma programs in fields such as Engineering, Non-Engineering, Technology, Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary, and Fisheries. Admissions are based on the rank obtained in the POLYCET exam followed by a counseling process conducted by the authorities.

To be eligible for the examination, candidates must have passed the SSC (10th Class) examination or its equivalent from a recognized board. Students who are appearing for the SSC examinations in March 2026 are also eligible to apply. Candidates should generally secure at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination to be considered for admission.

The AP POLYCET 2026 question paper will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions, including 50 questions from Mathematics, 40 from Physics, and 30 from Chemistry. The duration of the exam is 2 hours, and the test will be conducted in an offline (pen-and-paper) mode.

The application fee for AP POLYCET 2026 is ₹400 for OC/BC candidates and ₹100 for SC/ST candidates. Hall tickets will be released online before the examination, and the results are expected to be announced in May 2026, followed by the counseling and seat allotment process.
