Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education (BIEAP) has officially announced the Dasara holidays for 2024. According to the notification, the holidays will begin on 3rd October and end on 13th October 2024. This break will apply to all junior colleges and intermediate courses across the state, giving students and staff a much-needed respite during the festive season.

Dasara, also known as Vijayadashami, is one of the most significant festivals in the Indian calendar, celebrated with great enthusiasm in Andhra Pradesh. The festival symbolizes the triumph of good over evil and marks the end of the nine-day Navaratri celebrations. This extended holiday period will allow students to participate in the festive activities, spend quality time with their families, and take a breather from their academic schedules.

The AP Intermediate Board's announcement ensures that all academic institutions affiliated with it adhere to this holiday schedule. As per the calendar, regular classes will resume on 14th October 2024, following the conclusion of the Dasara celebrations.

The timing of this break also offers students an opportunity to prepare for their upcoming half-yearly exams, which are expected to be held soon after the holiday. Many students utilize this period for revision and catching up on studies while also enjoying the festivities.
