IIT Roorkee invites Applications for eligible candidates for the Post Doctoral Fellowships for the academic year 2013-2014. Number of Fellowships: 20

Eligibility: Candidates with a Ph.D. degree in Science, Engineering, Humanities or Management with first class in the degree proceeding to Ph.D. with at least two publications in refereed journals Candidates who have recently submitted their doctoral thesis are also eligible to apply subject to the condition that they will furnish the proof of award of Ph.D. degree at the time of interview. Age limit: 35 years. The age limit may be relaxed in exceptional case

Selection process: The candidates called for interview shall make a presentation of their research plan before the selection committee in the concerned academic department. The selection committee shall interview the candidates and discuss their research plan in detail. How to apply: By post, To apply the candidates are required to download application form from Institute Website http://pgadm.iitr.ernet.in and the requisite fee of Rs. 200/- for Gen/OBC categories candidates and Rs. 100/- for Sc/St/PD categories candidates will be paid by the demand draft in favour of Chairman, PG Admission, payable at Roorkee, The completed application form must be sent to Chairman, PG Admission, IIT Roorkee in A4 size envelope only. Separate application to be sent for separate departments/centres and for each department/centre separate fees will be required with each completed application form.

Value of the Fellowship: . Rs. 40,000/- p.m. for a Ph.D. with 2 years experience . Rs. 35,000/- p.m. for a recent Ph.D. degree holder. Contingency: Rs. 20,000/- per annum. HRA: As per norms prevailing in the IIT Roorkee. Duration of the Fellowship: Two years (extendable for one more year).
