
JEE Main Answer Key 2023
The JEE Main answer key is an important document for candidates as it contains all the correct options for the questions asked in the JEE Main exam paper. The JEE Main answer key is usually released by the exam authority, the National Testing Agency (NTA) on their official website.
NTA will release the official JEE Main answer key 2023 a few days after the conclusion of the exam. Candidates will be able to check their JEE Main answer key by NTA from the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

How to Challenge JEE Main 2023 Answer Key?
When the JEE Main Answer key 2023 is released, the option to challenge it will be available online. To challenge the answer key, candidates must log in to the official website and pay a processing fee of INR 200 per question via credit/debit card/Net banking/UPI/PAYTM service. The payment is not refundable. However, if NTA approves the challenge, the fee will be refunded. To challenge the answer key, follow these steps:
- Log in using your Application Number and your Date of Birth/Password.
- Select "Challenge Answer Key" or "Challenge Recorded Response" at the Candidates' Login Screen.
- Select Question Number, Recorded Answer, and Claimed Answer for Recorded Response. Then, add to the list of claims.
- Enter the book number, question number, answer, and claimed answer in the Answer Key. Then, add to the list of claims.
- Make the payment by Debit/Credit/Net banking
Qualifying for JEE Main Examinations
- The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc.
- Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
- Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy
- Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
- Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
- H.S.C. vocational examination. [Only for Admission to IITs]
- A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education of at least 3 yearduration. [Only for Admission to IITs]
- General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level. [Only for Admission to IITs]
- High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva. [Only for Admission to IITs]
- In case the relevant QE is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination at an earlier level. [Only for Admission to IITs]
NTA Score for Paper-1 and Paper-2
Following shall be applicable for both the attempts.- Evaluation of multiple choice questions of Paper-1 and Paper-2 will be carried out using final answer keys and the raw (actual) marks obtained by a candidate will be considered further for computation of the result of JEE (Main)-2020.
- For multi-shift papers, raw marks obtained by the candidates in different shifts/sessions will be converted to NTA Score.
- The detailed procedure based on NTA Score being adopted is available on NTA’s website.
- After the JEE (Main)-2023 examinations, the NTA will display Answer Keys & recorded responses of multiple choice questions of Paper-1 and Paper-2 on the NTA’s website www.jeemain.nic.in. The date shall be displayed on the NTA’s website.
- The candidates, who are not satisfied with the recorded response, may challenge by filling online application form and paying processing charges of Rs.1000/- per question.
- The challenge of answer keys will also be accepted online only through the link available on the website www.jeemain.nic.in by paying processing charges of Rs.1000/- per question. The fee can be paid by credit/debit card. The fee once paid is non-refundable.
- The NTA’s decision on the challenges shall be final and no further communication will be entertained.
