National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon announce the results of BArch (Paper 2A) and BPlanning (Paper 2B) of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024. Engineering (BE/BTech Paper 1) exam results announced earlier this month and in the results notification, an update on the Architecture and Planning exam results was shared.

Press Release for the Analysis of JEE Main 2024 Session 1
The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2024 Session 1 (January 2024) in about 544 Centres in 291 Cities (including 21 cities outside India).
The session was conducted in 10 shifts which is 02 shifts less than the previous year despite the number of registered candidates going up to 1221624 as compared to the previous year's count of 860064 i.e. an increase of 27%.

JEE Main 2024 Result
The National Testing Agency on February 12, 2024 release the JEE Main paper 2 result on jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates who took the JEE Main paper 2 2024 in the February session will be able to access their paper 2 JEE Main result 2024 by logging in with their application number and date of birth. The JEE Main 2024 paper 2 result will include marks earned in individual subjects as well as the overall JEE Main score, followed by a rank list based on the normalised NTA score. Following that, those who pass the exam with the necessary cutoff marks will be invited to participate in JoSAA's counselling, which will also be responsible for seat allocation. National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the Joint Entrance Examination JEE (Main) -2024 for admission to Undergraduate Programs in NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions as well as an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IIT.
The JEE (Main) - 2024 is being conducted in multiple Sessions (February/March/April/May) for admissions in the next academic session. The JEE (Main) Session-1 (Februay-2024), Session-2 (March-2024), and Session-3 (April-2024) will be conducted from 23rd to 26th February 2024,15th to 18th March 2024, and 27th to 30th April 2024 respectively.
The JEE (Main) Session-4 will be conducted in May on 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, and 28th May 2024. It has been brought to the notice of NTA by the candidates appearing in JEE (Main) that the 12th Class Examinations, 2024 conducted by CBSE and various State Boards are going to be held during this period.
Keeping in view the interest of the candidates and to avoid any clash between the two examinations, the NTA will open the Application form of JEE(Main) -2024 from 3 rd May to 12th May 2024 (for the May session) asking the candidates to inform the NTA about their Class 12 Roll number and name of Board
The candidates appearing for the Class 12 Board examination as well as JEE (Main) will be required to provide information under “Whether appearing for Board Examination on any of the dates 24th, 25th, 26th , 27th, and 28th May 2024" and select the ‘Date of their Class 12 Board Examination’ in their online Application Form so that there is no clash of their schedule of JEE (Main) with Class 12 Board Examination.
The NTA will release the JEE Main Feb 2024 Paper 2 scorecard on the official website of the exam - jeemain.nic.in. The candidates who had appeared for the Paper 2 of JEE Main Jan 2024 exam are advised to visit the official website to check their scorecard on it is officially released there.
The candidates will have to enter their application number and password or application number and date of birth on the official website to check their JEE Main scorecard 2024. JEE Main is a national level engineering entrance examination conducted by NTA. Starting from 2024, the JEE Main exam will be held twice in a year - Feb and May. The candidates who want to appear for the JEE Main April 2024 exam can visit the official website for registration. The registrations for April session will commence from February 8 and the examination will be conducted from April 27 to 30.
JEE Main Cutoff Marks 2024
Candidates appeared for the JEE Main 2024 must score the requisite cutoff marks to clear the examination. JEE Main cutoff marks will be revealed by the CBSE based on various factors such as number of competitors, number of seats, level of difficulty of examination and others. Candidates scoring the best marks in JEE Main than the announced cutoff marks will have the chances to get admission. NTA Declares JEE (Main)-2023 (February Session) NTA Scores for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.)
The JEE (Main) Examination for B.E./B.Tech. was conducted by NTA from 24 to 26 February 2024. A total number of 6.52 lacs candidates were registered for Paper 1 (B.E. /B. Tech.) in this examination.
The Examination was conducted in 331 Cities [including 9 cities outside India in Colombo, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore, and Kuwait] in 828 Centres.
A total number of 742 Observers, 261 City-Coordinators, 19 Regional Coordinators, 06 Special Coordinators & 02 National Coordinators were deployed at these centres to oversee the smooth and fair conduct of the examination.
The examination for Paper 1 (B.E. /B. Tech.) was conducted in a total of 6 shifts from 24 to 26 February 2024. The scores of Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.) are being declared today.

Release of Admit Card for Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2024 for March Session.
The National Testing Agency is conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) – 2024 for March Session in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode at different centres located in 331 cities throughout the country and abroad from 16 to 18 March 2024.
The candidates can download their Admit Cards from the website jeemain.nta.nic.in w.e.f. March 11, 2024 (Monday). The candidates are advised to download their Admit Card of Joint Entrance Examination (Main), March 2024 (using their Application No. and Date of Birth) along with the Undertaking of JEE (Main) March – 2024 and go through the instructions contained therein as well as in the Information Bulletin.
In case any candidate faces difficulty in downloading the Admit Card/Undertaking, he/she can contact 011- 40759000 or mail at jeemain@nta.ac.in.

Key Points of JEE Main Results:
- Only the score obtained in JEE Main 2024 paper 1 or paper 2 is included while releasing JEE Main Rank list name wise.
- The result of JEE Main 2024 also shows whether the candidate has qualified for JEE Advanced or not, subject to meeting other eligibility criteria.
Total Marks:
- Maximum score for paper 1 is 360 marks.
- Maximum score for paper 2 is 390 marks.
- Marks obtained in Paper 1 = Number of correct answers x 4 – Number of incorrect answers x 1.
- Marks obtained in Paper 2 = Number of correct answers in Maths and Aptitude Test x 4 – Number of incorrect answers in Maths and Aptitude Test x 1 + marks obtained in Drawing Test.

How to calculate JEE Main score and rank?
The rank of JEE Main 2024 will only be determined on the basis of marks secured in the examination.
The current process to calculate rank will be as below:- For each correct answer 4 marks will be allocated to the candidates.
- For marking incorrect response, 1 marks will be deducted.
- When all the questions will be checked, and marks will be allocated or deducted, the final score of the candidate will be determined.
- The CBSE will then determine JEE Main Cutoff, on the basis of various factors. As per it and the score secured by the candidates, merit/rank will be allocated.
JEE Main Score = 4 marks x number of correct answers - number of wrong answers x 1
Calculating JEE Main rankThe actual scores of candidates in JEE Main 2024 will be used to determine the ranks of the engineering entrance test. Your rank will be affected directly by the score you secure in the test. This means that the higher your score, the higher will be your rank of JEE Main 2018. Also, if two or more candidates score equal marks, then tie-breaking rule or inter-se-merit will be applicable.

JEE Main 2024 Counselling
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) holds JEE Main Counselling and Seat Allotment for JEE Main and JEE Advanced candidates after declaration of JEE Main Result 2024.
- There is a maximum of six rounds.
- Candidates will be called on the basis of their ranks in the JEE Main Rank List name wise.
- There are 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 23 IIITs and 20 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs) participating institutes accepting result of JEE Main 2024.
- The entire seat allocation and admission process would be managed through centralized JEE Main Counselling.
JEE Main 2024 Seat Allotment
- Candidates are allotted seats on the basis of their merit and availability of seats.
- Before the actual seat allotment, mock allotment of seats will take place in two rounds.
- This allows candidates to know the seat allotment process and this way, they will also be able to know and choose better preferences for themselves in the main rounds.
