This year, a total of 15,38,474 unique candidates appeared across both January and April sessions of JEE Main 2026. In Session 2 alone, 26 candidates achieved a perfect 100 percentile, showcasing exceptional performance. Additionally, five female toppers have been announced, although none secured a full 100 percentile score.
Along with the results, the NTA has also released the JEE Advanced 2026 qualifying cutoff. Notably, the cutoff has increased across all categories compared to previous years. The General (UR) category cutoff stands at 93.4123549 percentile, marking the highest qualifying percentile in the past four years.
Candidates who meet the cutoff criteria are now eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2026, the next step toward admission into prestigious institutions like the IITs.

JEE Main 2026 Cutoff and All India Rank
JEE Main 2026 session 1 result will be considered as the final JEE Main result that will contain the JEE Main 2026 cutoff percentile for JEE Advaced 2026. The JEE Main 2026 All India Ranks of the candidates based on JEE Main 2026 session 1 and session 2 marks will be available via the session 1 scorecards.
Last year, the JEE Main cutoff for JEE Advanced was 93.2362181 for UR; 79.6757881 for OBC; 81.3266412 for EWS-ALL; 0.0018700 for UR-PWD, 60.0923182 for SC-ALL and 46.6975840 for ST-ALL. This was the highest JEE Main cutoff in the past five years.
Steps to Download JEE Main 2026 Results
Follow the steps below to download your JEE Main result:
- Visit the official NTA JEE Main website
(nta.ac.in or jeemain.nta.ac.in) - Click on the “JEE Main 2026 Result” link available on the homepage.
- Login using your credentials:
✔ Application Number
✔ Date of Birth
✔ Security PIN (Captcha) - Click on the “Submit” button.
- Your JEE Main 2026 Result/Scorecard will be displayed on the screen.
- Download the scorecard in PDF format for future reference.
- It is recommended to print a copy for use during counselling and admissions.

Important dates for JEE Mains January Exam :
- On-line submission of Application Form upto 11.50 p.m. (including uploading of photograph and signature) – 31.10.2025 to 27.11.2025
- Date for successful final transaction of fee (through Credit/Debit Card/ Net Banking up to 11.50 p.m. and through e-challan up to bank hours) – 31.10.2025 to 27.11.2025

Key Points of JEE Mains Results:
- Only the score obtained in JEE Mains 2026 paper 1 or paper 2 is included while releasing JEE Main Rank list name wise.
- The result of JEE Mains 2026 also shows whether the candidate has qualified for JEE Advanced or not, subject to meeting other eligibility criteria.
Total Marks:
- Maximum score for paper 1 is 360 marks.
- Maximum score for paper 2 is 390 marks.
- Marks obtained in Paper 1 = Number of correct answers x 4 – Number of incorrect answers x 1.
- Marks obtained in Paper 2 = Number of correct answers in Maths and Aptitude Test x 4 – Number of incorrect answers in Maths and Aptitude Test x 1 + marks obtained in Drawing Test.

How to calculate JEE Mains score and rank?
The rank of JEE Mains 2026 will only be determined on the basis of marks secured in the examination.
The current process to calculate rank will be as below:
- For each correct answer 4 marks will be allocated to the candidates.
- For marking incorrect response, 1 marks will be deducted.
- When all the questions will be checked, and marks will be allocated or deducted, the final score of the candidate will be determined.
- The CBSE will then determine JEE Mains Cutoff, on the basis of various factors. As per it and the score secured by the candidates, merit/rank will be allocated.
