IIT JEE Online Model Exam a) IIT JEE Mains

  • JEE Mains is the preliminary stage which candidates have to appear before moving on to the next stage.
  • JEE Main 2019 Exam will be conducted twice by NTA, initially, in January and later in April 2019.
  • As of 2019, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct JEE Main exams and will facilitate admissions into 20 IIITs, 31 NITs, and 18 other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs).
  • JEE Main comprises of two papers where;
  • Paper 1 is mainly for B.Tech students and is computer-based. It includes sections like maths, physics and chemistry.
  • Paper 2 is set for B. Arch programmes.
ELIGIBILITY Students who are appearing or have already passed their class 12th board exams can apply.
SYLLABUS It includes concepts taught in Class 11th and 12th (Physics, Chemistry & Maths)
EXAM TYPE It is a single paper comprising of multiple choice objective type questions.

b)IIT JEE Advanced

  • Once aspirants secure the desired score in the JEE Mains they will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.
  • In 2019, the exam will be conducted in the form of a computer-based test (online) and will include two papers
  • The test will be carried out in two sessions on the same day and it is worth mentioning that the only students who appear for both paper 1 and paper 2 will make it to the merit list. IIT Roorkee will administer the examination in 2019.
  • The examination is conducted in 2 parts, namely, Paper 1 and Paper 2. There are three sections in each paper. All the three sections have 16 questions from each Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • The questions are objective type, comprehension type, match type, and numerical type in nature.
  • Section 1 of paper 1 and paper 2 comprises of six multiple choice objective type questions. Every question has four options of which either one or multiple options are correct.
  • Similarly, section 2 of paper 1 and paper 2 contains eight numerical value type questions.
  • Section 3 of paper 1 comprises of two paragraphs with two questions each. In this section, out of given four options one option is correct. The section 3 of paper 2 contains two matching type questions.
