Eligibility criteria for NEET:

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), or foreign nationals.

Age Limit: For General Category: Candidates should have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or by December 31 of the year of admission. There is no upper age limit.
 
For SC, ST, OBC, and PwD Categories: There may be relaxation in the upper age limit as per government norms.
 
Educational Qualifications:
 
Candidates must have completed their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects.
 
General Category candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination, while SC/ST/OBC candidates need to score at least 40%. For PwD candidates, the minimum qualifying percentage may vary.
 
Mandatory Subjects:
 
Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English must be studied and passed in the qualifying examination.
 
Number of Attempts: There is typically no limit on the number of attempts a candidate can make to appear for NEET.
 
State Eligibility: Some states may have additional eligibility criteria or domicile requirements for candidates seeking admission to state medical colleges. Candidates should check the specific eligibility rules of the state they wish to apply to.
