JEE(Main) Pattern 2024:

 

JEE (Main) examination. Please note that the pattern may have been updated since then, so it`s crucial to check the official JEE (Main) website or the National Testing Agency (NTA) website for the most up-to-date information:
 
Papers: JEE (Main) is conducted in two papers:
 
Paper 1: For admission to B.E./B.Tech courses
Paper 2: For admission to B.Arch and B.Planning courses
Mode of Examination: The examination is conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) mode.
 
Duration: Each paper has a different duration:
 
Paper 1: 3 hours
Paper 2: 3 hours (for B.Arch) or 2.5 hours (for B.Planning)
Type of Questions: Paper 1 consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Numerical Value-based questions in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Paper 2 includes Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Drawing Test (for B.Arch) or Planning Based Objective Type Questions (for B.Planning).
Marking Scheme:
For MCQs: +4 marks for the correct answer, -1 mark for an incorrect answer, and 0 marks for unanswered questions.
For Numerical Value-based questions: +4 marks for the correct answer, no negative marking.
Number of Attempts: Candidates can appear for JEE (Main) for a maximum of three consecutive years.
Selection for JEE (Advanced): The JEE (Main) scores are used to determine eligibility for the JEE (Advanced) examination, which is the gateway to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
