Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme:

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries has introduced six one-district product (ODOP) brands under the PMFME Scheme.
 
Highlights:
  • Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) is an abbreviation for Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises.
  • Amrit Phal: Haryana`s Gurugram is getting amla juice. It`s all natural and has lemon juice added to it. Amrit Phal costs Rs 120 for 500 ml.
  • Cori Gold: For the Rajasthani city of Kota, coriander powder was created. The product is one-of-a-kind due to its flavour. The price of Cori gold is 34 rupees per gramme.
  • Kashmiri Mantra: This product is made with Kashmiri red chiles. It was designed for the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. 75 rupees gets you 100 grammes of Kashmiri mantra.
  • Madhu Mantra: It`s a honey-like substance made for the Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. It`s a honey with a wide range of flora. Madhu mantra honey is collected from bees that are free to fly. The cost of 500 grammes of Madhu mantra is 185 rupees.
  • These whole wheat biscuits were created by Dilli Bakes, a bakery. It`s unique because it`s made with jaggery rather than sugar. 380 grammes of whole wheat biscuits are available for 375 rupees.
  • Somdana as a brand: Ragi flour was developed for the Thane district of Maharashtra. It is gluten-free. The Somdana is high in calcium, fibre, and iron. Somdana costs 60 rupees for 500 grammes.
  • The products are packaged distinctively, giving them a longer shelf life.
  • Independent expenditures are made to assist businesses in promoting their sales via e-commerce platforms.

 Himachal Pradesh is the first smoke-free and LPG-enabled state in the country.

Himachal Pradesh became Indias first LPG-enabled and smoke-free state.

 

Highlights:

  • Himachal Pradesh was the first LPG-enabled state to go smoke-free. The Centre`s Ujjwala Scheme and Grahini Suvidha Yojana were responsible for this achievement. 
  • The government implemented the Ujjwala scheme to eliminate smoke. The Grahini Suvidha Scheme was created to help women living in rural areas.
  • The Centre government launched the Ujjwalla Yojna to protect women from indoor pollution. In addition, the Himachal government launched the Grihini Suvidha Yojana, which aims to benefit as many women as possible. 

Ujjwalla Yojna

  • In Himachal, the Ujjwala Yojana provided 1.36 lakh free domestic connections at a cost of Rs. 21.81 crore, while the Himachal government`s Grihini Suvidha Yojana provided 3.23 lakh housewives with free gas canisters at a cost of Rs. 120 crore.

Mukhya Mantri Grihini Suvidha Yojana

  • On May 26, 2018, the Mukhya Mantri Grihini Suvidha Yojana was launched. 
  • Women in the state have been free of indoor pollution thanks to the combined efforts of the federal and state governments. 
  • Aside from that, in order to save the environment, families without a gas connection are given a free LPG connection.
