What is XAT
XAT is one of the well-known entrance tests after CAT to get into the management courses. The test is carried out by Xavier Labor Research Institute, Jamshedpur (XLRI). The test is also known as XLRI XAT. More than 60 business schools across the nation accepting the XAT score. It is because of the long- standing credibility at national level. The XAT test determines analytical, verbal and mathematical skills of the aspirants and helps the institutes to evaluate the potential of aspirants for higher education in management institutes.
Structure of the XAT Exam in Management
XAT test is of 140 minutes. It includes an essay of 250-300 words. XAT test includes 3 parts. 40 minutes time limit is there for each part. First part covers Verbal ability and Reading comprehension questions. Second part includes Data interpretation, Quantitative ability and Reasoning. General awareness questions come under last part. There are total 200 questions included in the XAT exam. Maximum time provided for the paper is 120 minutes. Time provided for the essay is 20 minutes. One mark each provided for all right answers. There is negative marking included in the XAT test.

Eligibility Criteria
Two years Post Graduate Program in Business Management and in Industrial Relationship and Personal Management qualification is as follows
Educational Qualification:-
The candidate must have a graduation or equivalent from a recognized University or Deemed University. Graduates from any stream are qualified to apply. Final year applicants are also eligible to apply.
One year General Management Program qualification is as follows
Educational Qualification:-
A pass in graduation with a minimum of 3 years duration needed to apply for the program. The aspirants must have studied the program from a recognized university in India or foreign countries in any stream.
Work experience:-
Aspirants must be employed in a full-time job with 5 years of experience are qualified to apply. The aspirants should have appropriate managerial experience as on March after the completion of bachelor’s degree.
Four year Fellow Program in Management
Educational Qualification:-
The applicants should have a post graduation or equivalent in any stream with at least 55 %( 50% for SC/ST) of marks are qualified to apply. Those who finish CA/ICWAI/CS with 55% of marks can also apply. Students with B.E/B.Tech or equivalent with minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST) can also apply for this course.
