About National Institute of Plant Health Management:
In order to bestow greater functional flexibility, and broader reach in delivery against the emerging challenges in the field of Plant Health Management, a very crucial area for enhancing our country`s agricultural production, the Department of Agriculture & Cooperation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India had taken a decision for transforming this Institute into an autonomous body. Consequently, the Institute has been registered as an Autonomous Society under the Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India on 24th October 2008 under the name, National Institute of Plant Health Management (NIPHM).

Educational Qualification:
1. A First or High Second class (above 57%) Masters Degree in Entomology / Plant Pathology or in Agriculture / Botany / Zoology with specialization in Entomology or Plant Pathology or Weed Science or Nematology or Vertebrate Pest Management. Preference for candidates with exposure to Agricultural Entomology / Plant pathology.
2. Ph.D. in the relevant subjects.
3. Minimum work experience of 17 years with at least 6 years of experience in Integrated Pest Management including teaching/training etc.
