About NIT Durgapur:
The National Institute of Technology Durgapur (NIT Durgapur or NITD), is a Central Government engineering college located in Durgapur, West Bengal. It was formerly known as the Regional Engineering College, Durgapur (REC Durgapur). It was founded in the year 1960. NIT Durgapur offers both graduate and undergraduate programs in engineering, science, and management. NIT Durgapur is recognised as an institute of National importance by the government of India.

Educational Qualification:
Bachelor`s Degree in Physical Education or Bachelor`s Degree in Sports Science with at least 55% of marks (or equivalent grade in point scale wherever grading System is followed) with Consistently good academic record. Record of having represented the University/college at the Inter-University/inter-Collegiate competitions or state and/or National Championships. Desirable Qualification: At least one-year Teaching or Coaching Experience at State/National Level in any of games and sports field. Communication fluency in Hindi/English. Proficiency in computers for handling office work.

How to Apply:
A walk in Interview will be held on 07. 12. 2017 at the Meeting Room, New Administrative Building, NIT Durgapur from 10.30am onwards. Interested candidates must report to the venue before commencement of the interview along with application, addressed to the Chairman, Assessment committee of Sports Assistant, NIT Durgapur, Self-attested photocopies of relevant documents, educational qualifications and experiences in details along with one passport size photograph and no objection certificate from their employer (in case of Govt. employee) to be attached with the application and to be submitted at the time of interview.
