About University Of Hyderabad:
University Of Hyderabad is a Public Research University which is devoted to Post Graduate and Doctoral studies. It was founded in 1974. The Courses which are taught in the university are Basic Sciences, Applied Sciences, Medical Science, Engineering Science, the Social Sciences, the Humanities, and the Arts, Fine Arts, Media Studies and Communication, in addition to more recent areas such as Folklore Studies, Health Psychology, Dalit Studies, Women`s Studies, Neural and Cognitive Sciences. Institutions which are located inside the university campus are the C R Rao Advanced Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science.

Educational Qualification:
A Doctorate degree from a recognized University in Meteorology/Atmospheric Sciences/Oceanography with Meteorology/Oceanography as main subject. Those who have submitted their Ph. D. Thesis, with minimum of three years research experience, and are awaiting award of the degree are also eligible. Demonstrated experience in Ocean/coupled modeling using MOM4p1/MOM5/CFS/CESM. Well acquainted in computer programming in Fortran, C, shell programming, etc., and experience on Linux/UNIX platforms, Publications in standard peer-reviewed journals related to atmospheric/oceanic/climate sciences. Knowledge of air-sea interaction processes in the tropical Indo-Pacific basin and Bay of Bengal, and their interaction with Indian summer monsoon variability. Desirable Qualifications: Demonstrated skill in data analysis using GrADS/Ferret/NCL/CDO/MATLAB. Motivation to carry out frontline research and publish in top journals.
