About Tata Institute Of Fundamental Research:
Tata Institute of Fundamental Research was established on 1st June 1945. Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) is a research institution located in Mumbai. TIFR is dedicated to basic research in mathematics and sciences. It works under the umbrella of the Department of Atomic Energy of the Government of India. It is located at Navy Nagar, Colaba, Mumbai. Tata Institute of Fundamental Research conducts research primarily in natural sciences, mathematics, biological sciences and theoretical computer science. Tata Institute of Fundamental Research has a graduate program leading to a PhD in all the major fields of study. Research at TIFR is distributed across three schools, working over the mathematical sciences, natural sciences, technology and computer science.
