About National Centre for Earth Science Studies:
The objectives of National Centre for Earth Science Studies was to promote and start some modern scientific and technological research and development studies of importance to India and specially to Kerala, in the field of Earth Sciences. It organizes and conduct various research in the leading course of doctoral degree.The Institute maintain the earth science museums, natural monuments and parks.
The vision of National Centre for Earth Science Studies is to unhide the mystery of surrounding of the earth and its processes for the defend the development of natural resources, and to conserve the environment and management from natural hazards.The National Centre for Earth Science Studies is a multidisciplinary institute that aims to brings together all disciplines of the earth science under one roof was the dream of Prof. Karunakaran.He took various discussion with many scientists of leading research centers around the world about his dream. The vision of his product was to evolved into a leading institute in the country.

Educational Qualification:
Master’s degree in Geophysics with minimum 60% marks or equivalent from a recognized university in qualifying degree. Three years experience in research and development in the geophysical data analyses particularly in the Electromagnetic and Magneto telluric data supported by scientific publications. Doctorate degree in the respective area will be counted as three years experience. Desirable: Doctorate degree in the relevant subject area of specialization. Experience in handling of MT data, analysis and interpretation. Demonstrated excellence in research and publications in peer-reviewed journals.
