About IIT Kanpur:
Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur carries out original research of significance and technology development at the cutting edge. It imparts training for students to make them competent, motivated engineers and scientists. The Institute not only celebrates freedom of thought, cultivates vision and encourages growth, but also inculcates human values and concern for the environment and the society. IIT Kanpur was established by an Act of Parliament in 1959. The institute was started in December 1959 in a room in the canteen building of the Harcourt Butler Technological Institute at Agricultural Gardens in Kanpur. In 1963, the institute moved to its present location, on the Grand Trunk Road near the village of Kalyanpur in Kanpur district.

Educational Qualification:
M.Tech or B.Tech + 3 Years Experience relevant for thin film electronics. Recently graduated PhDs are encouraged to apply for this position. 2. Experience with EDA tools and hands-on experience of photomask-design for TFTs and circuits 3. Experience with electronic system integration and related software and hardware tools 4. Background in Thin film deposition and fabrication: PVD, CVD, ALD, coating, lithography, wet and dry etching 5. Electrical and optical characterization of thin film devices, such as TFTs and diodes: I-V, C-V, ellipsometry, profilometry etc.Equipment HLF, VLF Equipments and OFC etc.
