About NERIST:

 
North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (or NERIST) is a science and technology oriented higher education institute in Nirjuli, Itanagar, in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. Established in 1984, it is a deemed university, autonomous, fully funded and controlled by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.The institute is managed by a Board of Management, comprising representatives of MHRD, the eight beneficiary states of the North Eastern region, AICTE and educationists. The state governor of Arunachal Pradesh is the de facto head of the highest body, North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology Society, which consists of education ministers of all North Eastern States. The Board of Management is headed by the Chairman, Air Marshal (Retd.) Pranab Kumar Barbora.

M.Sc in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Botany/ Life Sciences/ Forestry with sound knowledge of microbiology techniques such as isolation and identification of bacteria, actinomycetes and fungi from water, soil and fermented materials, etc.

A copy of signed application with bio-data, contact numbers, email, self-attested copies of academic and supporting documents must reach the Principal Investigator with a soft copy by e-mail on or before 8 th July, 2017. The candidates are required to bring the original documents and attested copies of all documents at the time of interview. Applicants from other states may apply for Inner Line Permit to enter Arunachal Pradesh on receipt of Interview Call Letter from competent authority. Principal Investigator is not responsible for issue of Inner Line Permit (ILP) to the shortlisted candidates for entry into Arunachal Pradesh.
