About National Biodiversity Authority:
The National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) was established in the year 2003, it`s an autonomous body function for Government of India on issues of Conservation, Sustainable use of Biological Resources & use of its Components and equitable sharing of benefits arising out of utilization of biological resources.
The National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) focusing on advice the State Government on matter relating to the conservation of biodiversity, commercial utilization or bio survey by Indians and Local Level Biodiversity Management (LLBM), responsible for promoting conservation of Land Races, Folk, varieties and cultivation, domesticated stocks and breeds of animal and microorganism and chronicling of knowledge relating to biological diversity.

Educational Qualification:
Master’s Degree in Life Sciences /Social Sciences and minimum post qualification experience of 15 years in the requisite field provided that possession of a doctoral degree in the field will be counted as the experience of 3 years. or Retired employees of Government or Autonomous Bodies with not less than 5 years’ experience in the grade pay of Rs. 5400/- or higher in the relevant field/subject provided that the possession of a doctoral degree in the field will be counted as the experience of 3 years. Desirable: Experience in undertaking research in Biological Sciences / Projects
